Where has the time gone....

Sad news. Made me remember the Theme from Exodus. Great music. Talented men.
They would frequently come to Shreveport, where they had a steady audience.
I loved their work.. I still have all the original records as well as tapes..
Well, guess Heaven’s choirs of angels will have some wonderful piano to support their voices now.
And as someone earlier said, where has the time gone!?

I remember my pop playing their music on our Sony (stereo) reel to reel tape player.
Their music inspired me to take piano lessons as an adult. Tomorrow is the first day of fall.

Between that and my parent’s Mantovani and Ray Coniff records, it’s a wonder I survived childhood with my sanity intact. ;)
I can still *smell* those records in my head. :-)
My dream is to sing a slew of military songs followed by the theme from Exodus in front of a bunch of college lefties at the folk festival held at my local university. And then see if I can get out alive. “This land is mine, God gave this land to me....” and then try to dodge the stones.
One of the best. RIP.
What a great age for a pianist to die at.
RIP, and thank you.
