A Few Questions for the Bush Critics

I want to ask a few questions from people who liked to attack former President George W. Bush.

You criticized a lot the fact that wiretaps and other intelligence methods were used against “innocent” people. In recent weeks, however, a few terror plots were foiled, future terrorists were arrested, all (or mostly) on investigations that started under the evil Bush administration and by its use of wiretaps and other intelligence methods. Based on these developments, are you – Bush critic – ready to take back your endless attacks?

Hell no. My biggest criticism of W was his refusal to close the borders and secure them. Or to stop the flow of foreighn criminals into the USA.

Has this been done?

I love that reporters have now been denied the access they enjoyed at GITMO. Even the ACLU spokesman was on complaining today about how Bush’s policy was better. Ahahaha!

Since we're airing dirty laundry was his inability, but more to the point, his unwillingness, to use the bully-pulpit of the presidency more effectively. I think there is such a better case for him and for his government if only he could have, or would have made it.

somehow I omitted, “my biggest criticism” from that sentence. I guess it’s a good sign that my mind works faster than my fingers...if only they could work together :)

Where can we start? Alright, here's one little part of the problem: the anti-defense nature of the favored constituents of both parties.

...all to keep freight fuel prices down and "trading partners" appeased.

We can't fight a war with police. That's like trying to stop torpedoes with butterfly nets. War is a job for soldiers.

And we can't get good military leadership out of floating artillery commanders as chiefs of staff. That's like trying to stay in manufacturing after appointing a forklift driver to be the boss over the fabrication shop.

Agreed. Enforcement of immigration laws on the books would have prevented 9/11. Now BHO has his very own DHS to call all of us terrorists.

Try again.
