Very cool, SWAMPSNIPER -- your pond looks a lot like my pond, except I didn't see a 'gator in yours. $:-)
What is that bluish egret/heron in the third photo? I see these a lot, but don't know exactly what they are.

Looks like a Little Blue heron. They are scrappy birds. Will run between the legs of the big herons and egrets when the big birds are having turf/food spats.

Thanks, I use the basic Sony 75-300. With the APS-C sensor it gives me 450mm equivalent. It’s not the best lens but it does OK.
