6,000 people died crossing US-Mexico border: rights group AFP/Washington More than 6,000 people were killed trying to cross the US-Mexican border illegally in the past 15 years, the American Civil Liberties Union said yesterday. The ACLU urged the North American neighbours to declare a humanitarian crisis in the area, protect human lives and change policies that have led to an increase in the number of people who die trying to make the illegal move. The current policies in place on both sides of the US-Mexico border have created a humanitarian crisis that has led to the deaths of more than 5,000 people, said Kevin Keenan, Executive Director of the ACLU of San Diego. Because of deadly practices and policies like Operation Gatekeeper, the death toll continues to rise unabated despite the decrease in unauthorised crossings due to economic factors, he added. The ACLU data were from the Mexican foreign ministry. It says 6,607 people died trying to cross the border since 1994. US Homeland Security officials have put the figure at 3,861.

the wrong one apparently.
I’m a member of a TX hunting forum and it’s getting to be a joke as to who catch’s the most illegal’s on they’re game camera’s, I’ve seen hundred’s of photo’s. Keeping your hunting cabin’s unlocked and empty is common practice to keep damage’s to a minimum. Some even post sign’s in Spanish telling them to go to a certain place where canned food and water has been set out just for them. I once guided on a ranch in El Indio and was setting out a couple of hunters before day break, I stopped and shined a spotlight on the blind about 75 yard’s away and held it there so the young lady from North Carolina could see here way to it. When she open the door to the double blind all hell broke lose, here screaming was joined by several other’s. I jumped out of the truck and went running over only to find 6 illegals had decided to bed down in the blind overnight. Funny but frightening!
A thoroughly 100% preventable cause of death.
Who needs a job when you can get a government check?
No fair putting the game winner in the original post.
Mexican media estimate that there have been 4,500 drug-linked murders so far this year.
I wonder why the ACLU isn’t demanding some kind of radical intervention?
Just kidding. I know why.
A wall would keep out all but the most determined, such as drug dealers and terrorists and then they would be slowed to a trickle.
These left wing bleeding hearts don't realize how we could use such statistics to justify a wall.
