At only five years old, Simon Hughes already knows how to use a gun.
His early trainning paided off recently, when an 800-pound alligator took some bait at a nearby marsh.
Soon, Simon was face-to-face with one big alligator.
He quickly grabbed his gun..

It's a trick of the camera. The camera is much closer to the alligator that only weighs 20 times what the tyke does.
Can someone give this kid an entry into the Naval Academy or USAF Academy? He's much too valuable to let go to Army.

Be very careful. I once met a kay-dette on another field, only he was a Captain when I met him the second time.
Lucky counts for points. Grabbing a gun counts for more points. Winning counts for lots more points.
He's officer material. NCOs should help that along. We're supposed to encourage and enable the officer corp. (since they can't find their ass with both hands tied behind their backs)

I tried to click through to the Fox page but the formatting turns the page into an unreadable vertical line of letters on my phone.
A .410 point blank might kill an alligator. I was shot by a .22 in the head and walked away from it (surgery later in the day). Gators have tougher heads than me.
Unless you ask my wife.

800 lbs and 12.5 foot long alligator. The child weighs 44 lbs. Awesome kid, and awesome Dad to have taught him shooting skills at such a young age.

It is a great video when you can get to a computer. And yes he shot the gator in the head with a single shot .410.
