A Palm Bay woman and her boyfriend were arrested Monday for child abuse after the couple went old school to punish their 8-year-old daughter for swearing.
They washed her mouth out with soap.
I would’ve gotten the soap (Irish Spring) AND a spanking.

Wow...my mother would have been spending a bit of time in jail if this had been instituted when I was a kid...;-)

Liquid soap works the best for this purpose. I have done it more than once.
I don't want dental injuries to happen when I am doing needed task.

Mine too, and she used a metal pancake turner to spank us.
The crazy thing was, she was and still is a moonbat liberal. There was a time when even moonbat liberals had some common sense.

We still need to do that on occasion. “Shutup” and “you’re stupid” qualify in our house. If we stuck to real cussing they would never need the soap (12 and 15 years). The youngest daughter has even been known to remind us that she needs her mouth washed out and will do it herself!?

What about the inexorable profanity-laced language we hear about coming from the White House?
They all grew up in permissive households where soap was used much more sparingly.

Oh man! I did that to my oldest when he was younger. It was first time I had done that to him and as I pulled him down the hallway he said, “Not again!!”
To: RGSpincich
Sorry. I did a search for “soap” and nothing came up.

hahaha! I was thinking the same thing.
You know, the other day I was standing in line in detroit, and I overheard one mother brag to another her child just said his first half word.

My Mom used Tobasco sauce! Believe me...she only had to do it once.

Me Too!
LOL, my mom would use the brown bar soap.

Belts, spoons, switches, soap, hair pulls, skull noogies, tabasco, brooms, and an Italian Cigar (I kind’a liked that one) when I got caught smoking.
None of that worked.
What did work, on me at least, was look of hurt on my Parents faces when they had to punish me or when I did something that hurt them. That “cured” me. Of course, I was 25 by that time. :O)

Creative. Humorous. Original. And, with a touch of class.
I give it a solid 9! LOL
