“We are immortal…We can create new life forms and new worlds. We are gods!” a revelation channeled from her spirit guide ‘Christ’ to Barbara Marx Hubbard, influential transnational green Progressive, one of the directors of the World Future Society...

New Age leader, Barbara Marx Hubbard has stated, “people will either change or die,” for “that is the choice.” According to those who would concur with Hubbard, Christians will need to be more open minded so they too can receive the mark of the Antichrist. If they will not join with the global community and its agenda, they will be killed by the “opened minded” New Agers. She states that, “This act is as horrible as killing a cancer cell. It must be done (or the sake of the future of the whole. So be it; be prepared for the selection process which is now beginning. We, the elders, have been patiently waiting until the very last moment before the quantum transformation, to take action to cut out this corrupted and corrupting element in the body of humanity. It is like watching a cancer grow; something must be done before the whole body is destroyed.... The destructive one fourth must be eliminated from the social body.” from Joe Schimmel, “The Coming Persecution”

Whatever. Just bring it, and let's get this party started.

Fred, I try real hard not to mix God with politics. Jesus just makes it real real tough to kick ass or even try. Having said, Ill throw out a redacted tidbit from Atlas Shrugged, which may be on topic. Not quite Orwell class, but a bit less dated.

“Did you really think we want those laws observed? We want them to be broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against... We’re after power and we mean it... Just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt.”

“The fact is we are witnessing an all-out drive to impose thought control that seeks to ban the ability—the right—to think or speak for one’s self. Thinking is becoming a crime.”

USCCB Comm. Office Backs Bid to Clamp Down on Conservative Radio Hosts for “Hate Speech”

A petition to the Federal Communications Commissioner (FCC) to investigate popular conservative commentators such as Rush Limbaugh for purported “hate speech” has caused a stir among Catholic circles after it was revealed that the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) communications office is backing the initiative.

One conservative commentator has even cited evidence that the religious coalition behind the petition, of which the USCCB communications office is a part, may be affiliated with the federal government’s recent campaign against conservative media.

“So We Might See,” a group billing itself as a national interfaith coalition against hate speech in media, is calling on supporters to sign a letter to FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski urging him to open a notice of inquiry into “hate speech” among the media establishment.

I hate what is happening to our country. Is that a hate crime? Seriously, what is happening to the First Amendment?

We will continue to see our rights disappear as long as we keep electing corrupt pigs like Chris Dodd and Tubby Frank. Only stupid bastards like them could turn the greatest country in the world into a deficit ridden shell of its former self in such a short period of time. They turn a resource rich country into one that produces only a fraction of its needs while it gives trillions to its enemies. We have become the American sheeple, not people. We sit by and watch a bunch of idiots spit on the Constitution and destroy our way of life. I'll never understand why we allow such worthless scum to walk all over us?

I have always been of the mind that Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson were the great Equalizers of their time.

That little puppy, to paraphrase George Orwell, would make some people more equal than others.

And what is this Interfaith Coalition petition’s definition of Hate Speech?

Categories of hate speech:

* False Facts consist of incorrect, exaggerated, or de-contextualized facts.

* Flawed Argumentation is rooted in hidden assumptions, guilt by association, and appeal to fear.

* Divisive Language creates and/or encourages an “us vs. them” mentality. Hard times often incite blaming “others” as the source of trouble. Catholics, Jews, and African Americans have been routinely targets as scapegoats for those wishing to further their own agendas.

* Dehumanizing Metaphors evoke messages relating to warfare, heroism, disease, and biblical characters.

Other curiosities on Mercer Island – Velamoor not being a common name: A TRISHNA Velamoor also went to MIHS (younger sister?). And a SESH Velamoor (father?) hails from Hyderabad, India, lives on Mercer Island and works at Foundation for the Future as Trustee & Director of Programs.

Democratic attorney Bob Bauer, who is married to White House Communications Director Anita Dunn, is the chief counsel for the group.

…Foundation for the Future, a 527 organized in July 2006, will continue to lead the analytical component of redistricting for the Democrats. The coalition, which includes the Association of Federal, State, County and Municipal Employees, the National Committee for an Effective Congress and other Democratic groups, seeks to provide Democratic caucuses in each state with data, mapmaking software and demographic projections.

Sesh Velamoor, a native of Hyderabad, India, is the Director of Programs at the Foundation For the Future.

“If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.” —George Washington
~~~~~~~~~~~
“In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”
a Freeper tag line - quote by George Orwell.
Freeper Personal Responsibility’s response to my comment:
I wish I could take credit for that profound statement but it’s a quote straight out of 1984. The more I re-read that book, the truer and truer it seems to become.
We are falling into a time where collectivist thought rules (It’s better for everyone if....). I think it comes from the writing that students are required to read. When I was in college (20 years ago) I had to read the Commmunist Manifesto for three different classes. Only collectivist, class warfare thought was taught and discussed. It always grated against me.
From the publisher’s blurb in False Dawn by Lee Penn:
The interfaith movement, which began with the 1893 World’s Parliament of Religions in Chicago, has grown worldwide. Although this movement has been largely unknown to the public, it now provides a spiritual face for globalization, the economic and political forces leading us all from nationalism to “One World”. The most ambitious organization in today’s interfaith movement is the United Religions Initiative (URI), founded by William Swing, the Episcopal Bishop of California.
Investigative reporter Lee Penn, a Catholic ex-Marxist, exhaustively documents the history and beliefs of the URI and its New Age and globalist allies, the vested interests that support these movements, and the direction they appear to be taking. The interfaith movement is no longer merely the province of a coterie of little-heeded religious idealists with grandiose visions.
The URI’s proponents have ranged from billionaire George Soros to President George W. Bush, from the far-right Rev. Sun Myung Moon to the liberal Catholic theologian Hans Küng, and from the Dalai Lama to the leaders of government-approved Protestant churches in the People’s Republic of China.
The interfaith movement, including the URI, is being promoted by globalist and New Age reformers who favor erosion of national sovereignty, marginalization of traditional religions, establishment of “global governance”, and creation of a new, Earth-based “global spirituality” — in effect, a one-world religion.
In 1966, Hubbard was a founding member of the ‘World Future Society’; she subsequently co-founded the ‘Society For The Universal Human’, and the ‘Foundation For Conscious Evolution’. In the 1970s, Hubbard organized and co-produced twenty-five ‘Syncons’ (’synergistic conferences’), and the multimedia ‘Theater For The Future’. In 1984, Hubbard made political history when her name was placed in nomination for the vice presidency of America.
During the Armageddon-obsessed 1980s (signified by Reagan’s ‘Strategic Defence Initiative’), Hubbard developed and co-chaired US-Soviet citizen summits. She hosted ‘Potentials: Envisioning The New Millennium’, a stunning television series which featured Gene Roddenberry, Timothy Leary, Buckminster Fuller, Toni and John Lilly, Jerry Pournelle, and Ray Bradbury as guests. Space migration, life extension, and macropolitical models are just some of the memes that Hubbard has promoted over more than thirty years of advocacy.
