One Unhinged Muslim & One Incompetent General

Posted on 11/05/2009 7:58:38 PM PST by SwaggerStick

More intriguing to me than the story behind an unhinged Muslin is how in the hell a General could stand before America and deal out so much misinformation – there was only one shooter who had two pistols, he was shot dead and the person who shot the shooter was also shot dead.

Now I know why so many of our young are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan. Our Generals don’t know their asses from their elbows. One would expect miss information from civilians, but hearing it from seasoned military people who are very accustomed to battle is amazing.

When you have a General who lacks the common sense to realize there is no way in hell one man with two pistols could kill 11 and wound 31 you have a General who will lead our soldiers to slaughter.

Not only was the General dead wrong with his information, his second press conference was hours late with only a passing mention of him being tardy.

I served 3 years in the Army and 4 years in the Air Force, all I can say is I hope to hell we never face off with Russia or China with Generals like this.

Dear dumb a$$ - just down the road at a cafeteria in the early 90's one guy killed 23 and wounded another 20. One shot in a crowd can hit 2 or 3. You don't seem to know a damn thing so why not give them a few hours to sort it out.

Affirmative Action and the Peter Principle are not equivalent. According to the Peter Principle, people reach a promotion level where they are no longer competent to do the job, whereas Affirmative Action is a means of forcing the hiring or promotion of people of color in order to “level the playing field” regardless of the persons qualifications in the first place.

I’m not saying he couldn’t kill all those people, he certainly could. With NO ONE SHOOTING BACK. Why and how was he able to shoot that many people before being taken down himself. That is my point. This wasn’t a college campus where no one carried guns, this is a MILITARY BASE!

I reminded the poster that 32 were killed and 23 wounded at VT by a lone gunman.

Again, a Military installation where no one carries weapons except law enforcement - with the exception of on the weapons ranges, which were no where near the location of the shooting today.

i knew this was BS when i heard that the police officer who shot the shooter dead (at the time that was the story) was also shot dead. And that the shooter was the lone shooter. What are the chances of that?

The FBI right coming on the scene right away was suspicious and then the “this was not terrorism” statement so quick was even more suspicious.

I believe the WH has put the Army in the position of having to lie to the American people and cover up a case of terrorism at a US Army post. This is unbelievable. And BO is behind this because the guy is a muslim.

It would appear that you have never been involved in a tragic loss of life situation involving a number of people. Almost all of the initial information is based on bits and pieces of reports. There is enormous pressure for statements to me made and the understanding of what has happened and why remains in flux for some time. Give those in charge a break. You are using the Leftist measure of perfection against human beings.

Active duty security alert teams on board ship .... ROE .. we were issued weaps and a baggy of rounds to strap at our leg. A magazine never touched the 45. And the security team was only called out for emergency .. they didn’t roam the ship 24 hours.

the only armed man on ship is the POOW on the qtrdeck in port .. again, 45 in holster, empty .. rounds in magazines on the belt in a snap coverd carrying case.

god help you as the OOD, or CDO if your POOW EVER let that magazine touch the firearm.

Virginia Tech had kids hiding under desks (like a duck shoot) These were seasoned combat troops - big difference.

Do you really THINK that people walk around armed? If so you are very wrong. My dad spent 3 years in the Army in the early 70’s and when I asked him he said he had a loaded weapon on base perhaps 6 times for an hour at a time.

It’s hard to believe, but it’s a fact - military bases lock firearms away. I had a private firearm the whole time I was in and it was locked up in one armory or another the entire time. This guy knew he was walking into a gun-free, target-rich zone and that’s why he chose it. If I posted what I really think about the thing I’d be banned.

Duh - yes two pistols is exactly what the guy in Luby’s had. Further he had only 80 targets and hit half of them.

Did anyone else notice the man standing behind and to the left of the General (looking at the TV) when he was speaking was shaking his head as if to say “not true” or “no”?
