Isn’t it funny how many of the NFL franchises adopted the names of much older and more established baseball franchises in the same city?
Giants (still there although baseball team left)
Cardinals (baseball team still there, football left)
Pirates (now Steelers)
Dodgers (defunct)
Some of the classic teams are still around, though.

I only recognized two Hall of Famers in the various lineups: Don Hutson for the Packers and Sid Luckman for the Bears. I’m sure there are others but I didn’t recognize them.

I'll bet they are the only team to move to the venue of its baseball namesake.

Holy Cow!! The Rams pull the BIG UPSET. I’ve been so busy typing 3 separate research papers this week that I’ve fallen way behind. This is huge!

Ive been so busy typing 3 separate research papers this week that Ive fallen way behind.I'll say you have! The magnetic mines are sinking merchant ships left and right. The Brits have gotten their hands on one of the devices and will start working on counter-measures (like the "degaussing" technique you mentioned) ASAP, but in the meantime it threatens to paralyze merchant shipping. Not only that, but the RN got an ominous message from the Rawalpindi, an armed merchantman, today. The German raiders may be running amok in the north Atlantic. On top of these crises the situation in Finland is deteriorating at an alarming rate. I don't see how you can worry about football at a time like this. New movie releases, OK, but football?

You have to remember, I’m over here in America. Why should I concern myself with the goings on over there in Europe. That’s their problem. Football is important. ;)
