Get serious: Pacific Coast News By George, "GMA" getting less "kooky"
NY Post ^ | December 14, 2009 | MICHAEL SHAIN

ABC is admitting that "Good Morning America" is going to change to accommodate the wonky Washington insider George Stephanopoulos -- and not the other way around.

Stephanopoulos starts today as co-host of the morning TV show replacing Diane Sawyer and his arrival is going to mean that "GMA" will buck the last 20 years of happy-talk, wake-up TV and become a more serious program, officials now say.

"We have been talking for months about how light and kooky morning news has become at a time when people are struggling with a million different things, from the economy to two wars to life itself," Jim Murphy, senior executive producer of "GMA," told the trade magazine Broadcasting & Cable in an article published today.

So that means ABC News is going to get “Kookier” with Diane Sawyer as their anchorette? How nice! ;-)

This change brings more liberal finger wagging - guess I'll pass on it - like the rest of conservatives and tea party members.

ABC has make a point of giving the finger to conservatives - we "get" their message - and stay away.

And since "the dependent poor" aren't buying a lot of products - and there aren't that many liberal elites - I hope advertisers for this show get a break in price.

Should be renamed "All the Stuff liberal elites want to hear in the Morning"...

Oh PLEASE......ONLY WOMEN watch these alphabet morning shows and they do NOT want SERIOUS stuff...they want FLUFF!!

MEN watch IMUS or Morning Joe or MONEY stuff on CNBC.

Fox and Friends is the only show that has a mix.

I want news. I watch the first 30 minutes of the Today show for interviews and headlines. After that, I can’t handle the fluff.

I wish that FOX was worth watching but it isn’t. The only choices are Lib Obama worship and journalists pretending to be journalists or the idiots on FOX. (I was a faithful viewer a few years ago but Steve D. is a slobbering idiot and Gretchen is a condescending snot).

Somehow I don’t think that going from “kooky liberal” to just plain “liberal” will bring in a deluge of onlookers.

I hope you have your crucifix and holy water close at hand watching MSNBC at anytime.

I’ll suffer through until FOX gets a new line up for F&F. Bill Hemmer, Megan Kelly & Kilmeade would be a great team.

They go into DEPTH for a long time on a story....that’s why I watch it. Fox has a 2 minute story!
