McCain's statement there should be taken as an absolute wash -- there's as much a likelihood that he's lying as there is that he's telling the truth. And if he's lying, he does it knowing full well that Palin couldn't set the record straight on that "small" detail as to who really asked who without sounding petty and defensives. McCain is a snake, and every word that comes out of his mouth is suspect.
We lived in California for 10 years. Our daughter stayed out there, went to USC and is still there, enjoying the rain.
Speaking of Brown, she was surprised when I told her yesterday that Governor Brown had declared those disaster areas recently. Nothing has changed in 30 years, not even the governor!
Read my “About” page and get back to me on where all the flowers went. HINT: I naped them.
Like I said, lighten up. We all have the same enemy here at FR, and it ain’t us.
And I promise, as soon as the ground thaws, I will pull the Romney sign out of my lawn. That was sarcasm. Drop a quarter.
As I hope you gathered from my homepage, people who choose their politics on what's "cool" and popular rather than what's right give me a pain and have since grade school.
If Romney's so great, why did Romney leave MA for California? And why aren't you begging him to return to MA (please, PLEASE do)? And what in hell does "Drop a quarter" mean?
You just sound like an insulting, condescending, sneering jerk, that's all. Maybe you're not, but you sure come across like one. You want to unite against a common enemy, then you need a better eye for who that enemy is: it's the statist, Republican and Democrat; an insulting belittling tone to those of us who reject Romney because he IS a statist means that your idea of "the same enemy" is bogus. In short, you come across as the guy who thinks he's the smartest guy in the room and people who don't realize it are just too uncool for school. "Lighten up."
Supporting McCain is a huge error on her part. She claims she’s doing it out of loyalty — but, were she to become president, does anyone think McCain would return it?
She will also, given her popularity, help to defeat Hayworth who is the type of senator we need in Washington. Bad, bad mistake.
It all boils down to judgement doesn’t it? Further, I’m wondering about the ‘forces’ behind this..is it to take former Gov Palin down completely. She owes nothing to McCain..she said ‘thank you’.
No, you are spot on in your observation.
YOU PRETTY WELL SHOWED YOUR TRUE COLORS HERE!!! I challenge you to tell Jim R what you told me about Sarah!
The Palin bashers/haters are getting out of control, the nasty messages I am getting in my mail whenever I say a kind word to Sarah???
A quick view of your in forum posts showed that I was mistaken, you are indeed NOT a Palin basher.
Sorry. BTW A quick glance at my in forum posts will show that I have never used harsh words like that in the past with anybody. Not to say I have not had disagreements, but I was out of line and am sorry. The Palin bashing the last few days took on a new tone.
For what it`s worth I apologize.
Not necessary but thanks for the offer and accepted. This is an open forum and tempers flare at times but that doesn’t bother me one bit. There are much bigger things in life than a few words. Take care.
I think Jim R would be pretty pleased that I support Jim DeMint, a real conservative. DeMint was fighting in the trenches while Sarah was (1) resigning an office she could have kept her conservative governance alive (2) raising the windfall profits tax (wow that's real conservative) (3) Crisscrossing on whirlwind book tour (4) Became a pundit like many politicans who are on the way to the bottom or are "has beens."
I'll take your challenge to tell Jim. I also would like Jim to know that you are calling Freepers around here "Keith Olberman." I wonder what he thinks of that.
Done hyperventilating yet?
Just to set the record straight for anybody else who wades through FReeper’s posting histories:
Everything Finny said about me personally is true. “Insulting, condescending, sneering jerk.” I don’t know about “bitchy” though.
I am not a Romney supporter. I supported John McCain in 2000 and 2008. Right now, I’m a monthly contributor to Sarah Palin’s PAC, as well as a monthly donor to Free Republic. I do put my meager wallet where my big mouth is.
The best money I ever spent, however, was the few hundred bucks I gave to the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth in 2004.
Finny, I am not your pal, but may I FReepmail you next time we are visiting California? I think a beer summit may help.
And now, madam (I assume you are a woman), you probably would like the last word. I would keep up this battle of wits, but you appear to be unarmed.
I think Palin could do the same thing Scott Brown did on a national level and win as a conservative.
Yeah, this thread is from a while back, but I just stumbled in here somehow (don't know how) and saw this... :-)
What Palin is doing is positioning herself and getting a national infrastructure going and testing out the waters. This takes time. I don't think that blasting on the national political scene about 1-1/2 year ago enough time to build up a national political infrastructure for herself.
