I posted this under general/chat category "wierd stuff" where it belongs ...
I've been on here since 1998, in these past 12 years I've changed alot. I became deathly ill only to make myself better through natural means. I even had 3 children since 1998 as well.
When I first joined I had just had my eyes opened to Christianity and to the real Christ, having previously voted for Clinton in 92 I realized I was very wrong in my thoughts and started voting Republican. But now, 12 years later I have learned even more, enough to know to stop investing time in this arena.
We have our pinewood derby car race this weekend for scouting, our cars are fast, should be a good race. To be honest, I really don't care about politics anymore. Jesus didn't waste his time on it and niether will I. Not saying I wont vote, I will.
Anyway, the FR has been great fun, and daily I actually laughed out loud reading the quips from posters, very witty stuff. I just wanted to say thank you to the FR for 12 years.
This part of my life is being closed down so that I can spend this time on other things.
- Scythian out
PS: That means you can rip me to shreds now in proper FR style, LOL, you guys are awesome and Good Luck ...

You’ll be back.
Resistance is futile.
Jesus was outraged at the politics of his time, was he not?
To quote a famous movie line from Charles Bronson “I just want to get my melons in.” Keep the Faith, Scythian!
Aww. Opus’ are a sad thing, and need levity to say “Goodbye, and good luck. (cue Happy Trails). But then, again you’re no longer reading this. God bless.
To enjoy your next adventure even more, ask the Lord to teach you about sweet it will be when He is here. Keeps this stuff in perspective as I read just to see how He is preparing for that time. Maranatha!
Nobody cares, Mr. Ego. Screw.
I would be interested to know why you picked the day after the SOTU address?
Did you see futility?
Look at participation at FR as giving Caesar what is Caesar’s. Jesus wouldn’t object. That said, I agree it should be kept in perspective. Your family and faith should come first. But don’t neglect the politics either, because politics can and will impact family and faith—and unopposed and unbridled liberal politics will impact both adversely.
God Bless.

Scythian escaped! It’s too late for the rest of us, but at least somebody got out!
Well, I guess you’ll care again about politics when you &/or you spouse are out of work and can’t find employment or when the “progressives” decide your children are better off in a government educational institution than in your home.
Or when terrorist launch a nuke on our soil because this administration coddles them.
I’m glad our founding families didn’t give up as easily as you. Thanks for leaving us to fight the fight.
Good luck.
I seem to recall him tearing up a certain house of worship in quite a rage over it's politics...
No complaints from me. The internet is a big waste of time and so is this site, if you don’t regulate your time on it. I understand your reason. God bless.
There’s quite a bit more to FR than just politics but, I do remember when it was not part of my life. Those were easier times.
Trouble is, you have the future of your children and their children to think about. This is really a bad timing.
