Something has happened to the StickyZoom on Firefox. It was working fine (and a cool feature too), but now it's picked a few sites that don't work. I read some of the Examiner.com sites and keep a group that I read regularly in a folder, which I open all at once. The feature seems to keep a common remembered zoom for the entire domain, because when it was working, if I changed in on one Examiner page, it would change the initial zooms on the others to match. Anyway, now those preload at one zoom, and the first time I look at the tab, they change zoom level. Very annoying. And there's a game that I play at Popcap that looks fine, then zooms to double when done loading. I haven't installed any new add-ons, but I do allow Firefox to push out updates.
Thanks. I knew how to turn it off, but it was a cool feature so I preferred if I could get it working. v3.6 seems to have fixed it.
I can’t find anything in add-ons called No-Squint
Found nosquint here. I like it also, its awesome.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=nosquint
Works on mine. They really do the job at killing those ads. Yahoo home page has gotten worse over the months at displaying HUGE ads that cover the entire page. I hit “zap plugins” and they disappear. I have another “clear ads” button that I use.
Oh OK, it will drag to the Bookmarks Toolbar only, if that one is open. I leave that one closed to conserve screen space, and cause it’s useless. Some of the stuff from that page, though, is so tempting it might be worth it to give up the screen space and open another toolbar.
Search engines are your friend.
No-Squint Add-on page:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2592
ctrl +
I went to the add-ons page and put in No-Squint and came up empty.
Did you reboot firefox?

Mozilla/Firefox tends to hide some of their things.
I used to try to get to the Firefox site from the embedded bookmark link. It never worked.
Windows 7 has a GREAT magnifier.
I installed it for my Mom, who has glaucoma. For her, it is a VERY good feature.
No-squint allows you to increase or decrease either/both graphics/text for a particular website.
It has options to allow you to retain the new settings for that website only or for all websites.
It is good for those websites that think 7-pt light gray font is neat on white backgrounds, for example.
Go to the Opera.
The fat lady is singin, and not about IE or Firefox.
Too bad there is no way to blur text in such a way that crappy reading glasses will make it Cristal clear.
Thanks for the tip. I’ll try it on my W7 machine.
Not to get off topic here but.....what are some of your fave add ons?
