MONROVIA, Calif., March 5 (UPI) -- Police said a 22-year-old woman who was a child when she was allegedly abducted by her mother has been found in Los Angeles County, Calif.

Investigators said Thursday they located Jessica Click-Hill, who was reported missing by her father in 1995, and arrested Click-Hill's mother, Wendy D. Hill, after authorities were able to track the mother-daughter pair to Monrovia, Calif., the Contra Costa (Calif.) Times reported.

FBI and police investigators were able to locate the two individuals in Monrovia thanks to a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

"They are a clearinghouse for people to make tips about missing children," FBI spokesman Joseph Schadler said of the center. The original source of the tip was not released.

The Times said Hill, 52, is being held on $250,000 bail after being arrested on warrants connected to the 1995 alleged abduction in Walnut Creek, Calif.

Do you have information on this case other than the article posted. It didn’t give any details at all about the custody of the girl. I was just wondering how you came to your conclusion.

What had the father done to this girl to make the mother want to do such a thing. If he didn't do anything then mom deserves to be in jail for parental interference and kidnapping.

If I were on the jury, I'd be leaning that direction; and I'd hope the girl's story would matter most.

We had an Amber Alert on all the radio stations yesterday [and it went on and on and on, all day long].

Turns out that the kid was "abducted" by her mother and her grandmother and she was "found" a few hours later, in the next state down, where her mother and grandmother live.

Getting the police and the FBI and the various prosecutors [state & federal] involved in these internecine conflicts is simply insanity.

It looks like dad was awarded custody, mom didn't like it, and took off. Since dads are almost never awarded custody unless mom is unfit, I'd like some more details here.

If the sexes were reversed, and dad took the daughter away from custodial mom, I'm betting you're the type who would want dad to get life in prison.

She looks happy and healthy. As far as I can tell Mom did OK. I don’t think she should spend time in jail.

Not much info yet -

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.—A young woman abducted more than 14 years ago has been found, and her mother is in jail, suspected of the crime.
Dean Click told police that his daughter, Jessica Click-Hill, went missing on Sept. 2, 1995. He believed she may have been taken by his wife, Wendy Hill. A warrant was issued for Wendy Hill’s arrest in 1996, but she disappeared.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children contacted law enforcement eight months ago with a tip, saying the young woman, now 22, might be in Monrovia, Los Angeles County.

Police found Jessica Click-Hill, and arrested Wendy Hill. She was booked Thursday morning into County Jail in Martinez. Her bail was set at $250,000.

Oh really? Even if its more likely that he had visitation rights and she hated him so much for the usual reasons that she thought she could hurt him most severely by not allowing him to see his own daughter grow up ?

You dont know the facts, but you assume the worst? Pathetic misandry.

Many amber alerts are custody disputes.

If the father had custody and the mom took off with the child then she should do jail time. End of story.

Yea, no matter that mom had a federal warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution out against her since 1997, eh? Mother always knows best, I guess.

What difference would dad’s connections and money make if she unlawfully took the child in the first place.

But, apparently you are good with moms unlawfully fleeing their husbands with their children, even absent fact number one about the case.

Would your husband have given up the search for his children had you absconded with them unlawfully? I know I wouldn’t.

Do you have any idea how difficult it is to express this without anger?

Exactly, why wait for anything as trivial and mundane as evidence before arriving at your conclusions.

Where am I?!?!?!?

Too many women could care less about the father. Dad’s have no rights.

They want a father who doesnt pay child support locked up, but when a mother doesnt pay, that’s all right.

Do I know this from experience? Yes.

If there wasn’t any talk of abuse from the father, the mother should not have taken the father away from her daughter. Kids need their dads.

Holy crap!!!!!

Betcha we could find a picture of Jaycee Dugard smiling while she was in Garrido’s clutches. Should he not be prosecuted either? Jaycee seems so well adjusted now, he must not have really done anything wrong. He should not spend any time in jail either, I guess.

Do I need a sarcasm tag for that?
