If they can't heed the Constitution, then neither should we... (vanity)

In light of yesterday's 'healthcare' debacle (nice to know you have a 'right' to force me to pay for your doctor's bills), we need to start ramping up the civil disobedience into something tangible and serious. We can still stop socialism without a bloody counter-revolution, but it will take more than pounding keyboards.

Let's start posting concrete actions we can all start taking to hammer government where it hurts. One small way that we can ALL help fight back is by NOT sending in our census forms. Make them come to us. Make them waste time and money on census workers scurrying around trying to find millions of us. Yeah, I know we're 'legally required' to respond, but (1) the Constitution only requires a headcount, not all the other info they are demanding and (2) they've shown themselves contemptuous of the Constitution anyway, so it's hypocritical of them to bring THAT up.

(It tickles me that I'll hopefully be moving in April, so there's a good chance they will miss me and my family entirely. Since I'm in Illinois, that's a direct blow against our Dear Leader.)

What other steps can we do to harass them? I'm thinking of non-violent harassment activities, not at a high enough level to get you arrested but enough to make life miserable for anyone in Washington that is backing socialism. Time to start chaining ourselves to the doors of public buildings? ;-)

If they can’t heed it, neither should we? You’re just as bad as them.

While I agree with your sentiment and anger directed at the Constituion-stompers, you’re sounding stupid. Please use your brain.

Counter-revolution is the only thing these traitors will understand!

Yesterday was just the next logical progression in a movement that started 100 years ago. A very large stop but completely predictable to anyone who has been paying attention for the last 50 years.

The USA is now the 16th freest nation in the world. After this it will sink even further!

This government can stick it all right up their commie a**es.

I won’t fill out their forms, tow their line, or sacrifice a toe nail without their gun to my head.

I won’t be “counted” for the sake of a NON-representative government.

F’em all! I’m done with it.

They want their power, and they want their subjects, so they can go find some other patriotic bromide to dry f**k, it ain’t gonna be me, or mine.

If they want slaves, then let them take them in broad daylight. As of today, I will say to our government: bring your guns, otherwise go f**k yourselves!

I intend to remain and American. I wasn’t born to serve politicians, or their collectivist agenda.

Do you think this is a game? That if we play by the rules and they don't that somehow our defeat will be more "moral"?

You obviously aren't planning on being part of the solution.

Agreed. Hasn’t that been kind of understood for a while now? Why restate the obvious? Does it get us any closer to a solution?

“Any force they use from here on out is simply “might makes right” and not legal authority.”

You got it.

THEY swore to uphold the Constitution—THEY have not done so.

THEY are seeking the overthrow of the US Government.

I want the US Government to be restored.

I did post a suggestion earlier:

How about pick a couple of states and have all the like minded people in the county who are now being oppressed move there and run it like a free country. Currently we are divided geographically and our strength is diluted

No. They HAVE over thrown our government. The one currently occupying DC isn't the one in the Constitution.

Most of the electorate doesn't even understand the difference between a Republic and a Socialist Democracy.

1) If you are a wage earner, reduce the amount of withholding taken from your pay to zero.

2) If you are self-employed, make everything a business expense.

3) Buy used.

4) Use cash (FedGov can't trace what you buy or when).

5) Empty all bank accounts (FedGov taxes profits from banks, banks contribute to Democrats).

6) Pay off all credit accounts (FedGov taxes profits from credit companies).

7) Plant a garden.

8) If possible, get on unemployment, welfare, early retirement, etc. Stop producing income, goods, or services which can be taxed.

9) Join your local Democrat Party, and shut up: Infiltrate, Identify, Incapacitate.

10) Pray constant prayers of thanksgiving for deliverance from this nightmare we've brought upon ourselves.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

Ask the Free Stater’s how well that’s working for them.

That's a good list!

To all who whine about obeying the law, you are missing the point. The Boston Tea Party wasn't strictly legal either. But there's a world of difference between civil disobedience against illegal and tyrannical acts, and seeking to line your own pockets through illegal criminal activity. It is craven, or naive, or both, to keep passively accepting every unconstitutional act that emanates from Washington with the promise that someday we'll fix things without ruffling any feathers.

Do it. Increase your representation in Congress.

Yeah, right. Give more representation to the Chicago political machine. I don't think so.

They have guns... but by no means do they have ALL the guns. WE outgun all of them. We won’t start the violence but if they start it, we will end it.... and not to their liking.

As to what we can do now... publically question everything they do. Letters to the editor, speaking out at public forums, stop being politically correct, call a spade a spade when you see it (does not mean to be vulgar or throw racial or sexual comments). File FOIA’s on everything. That costs the Government money and time. Publish on the web every bit of every FOIA. Let’s make them be transparant as they said they would.
