I rarely start posts like this but IMO this is important. Am listening to Glen Beck radio this AM and he is making a very important point and it is this:
America doesn't like bomb throwers and hippies, this was proved in the 1960s. Now those same people are in power, and they're INTENTIONALLY trying to provoke us conservatives and tea partiers into doing the SAME thing to marginalize and discredit us, and to make themselves look like the mainstream ones and not the radicals.
As tempting as it is to pick up a gun, bomb, or brick DO NOT DO THIS, not just because it is illegal but because it plays exactly into their hands and this is what they WANT us to do.
If you can get to a radio today I really recommend you listen to this, this is an enlightening perspective.

How did THEY get in charge, then? How did America so quickly forget? Obama was linked to Ayers and other radicals since 2007, but not enough people cared. They just followed "hope and change." The marxists know for a fact that Americans have sound-bite long memories and no knowledge of history.
I know, I know. BELIEVE me, I know. I was in DC on Saturday and the entire time I was there thought “If IRAN has secret nuke tips missiles on subs I sure hope they send one up the Potomac and wipe this place out. Even if I’m here when the do it”.
People can make their own decisions on what they do, and God knows chucking a brick would be very therapeutic at this point but if *at this point in time* it makes things worse then it needs to not happen.
It may come to a point where it’s the only option, but I don’t think we’re there yet, not with midterms coming up and a chance to start reversing this without bricks.

I’ve been saying that and getting slammed for it by some on FR. There will always be some that will do this, no matter what. Unfortunately the left will label us all the same when one acts out like this. Even an unproved assumption as with the spitting and using the n...word the other day, unproved but, the left media is using it to the hilt.
I seem to remember 20 million or so in Germany who surrendered their firearms to the government & obeyed orders.
No sane person advocates for violence. But, we conservatives are so wedded to the mantle of being the adults in the room, we end up enabling these tyrants. They know we won’t resist.
Yes, we need to put our energy into the November election& after that 2012. Ideally, that will be enough.
But it’s also time to face the very ugly reality that sometime it becomes necesary to resist tyranny by other means.
What can we do? Lots. Get busy working for good conservative candidates in November. All elections are national now. If you can’t spare money for contributions, there will be plenty you can still do: phone calls, etc.
Thanks to the internet, you can participate in a campaign from anywhere.
I haven’t looked at it yet but the RNC apparently has posted a list of vulnerable dems to be targeted for outster in November.
Exactly. I've seen video of that event and the only one that remotely sounds like what they claim I believe they were being called "Traitor" not the N word. But even the supposedly fair and balanced news bought the lie without examination.
These people follow the same playbook as Hitler and Stalin so we have their game plan. We need to try to stay a step ahead of them some way and Beck's advice may be good. The Catch 22 is if we protest in mass we run the risk of that being used against us and if we don't we seem to acquiesce to their plan.
Absolutely...and, of course, it was Hitler's people that burned the Reichstag...which is where I believe they'll take the lead from and create a similar event in the US. Again, I don't know what form it'll take, rather it's the destruction of some building or a fake (or real) assassination attempt or what...but I do believe Obama has the people around him that are that evil.

But there’s a different between starting hippie-type violence and passive refusal to obey unlawful and unconstitutional orders. I will not do the former, I will do the latter.

This is what conservatives can’t get thru their heads: we expect everyone to operate in the honest way most of us do.
The enemy plays by different rules. Nobody on our side has gotten violent at Tea Partes—they have Black Panthers at polling sites.
Our passive posture is not going to stop them from making wild accusations.
We need to stop pegging our behavior to what THEY might think or say about us.
Assume they are going to lie about us & move on. Get to work on the November election.
Just do what’s right.
If we do it , or don’t do it - They’ll still make it look like we are doing it.
The Teaparty is a sacrificial lamb. Let the tea party take the brunt of the attack - don’t fall in love with the Tea Party because it will be vilified very quickly.
The disbanded Tea Party will seperate, and give rise to a more powerful movement. That movement will seek the overthrow of the government. That movement will also be vilified and lied about - until it’s disbanded. And another will rise.....
Using ACORN tactics just like they do. Use the Tea Party, support the Tea Party but don’t get too attached.

I agree. Obama would like nothing more than that to happen in order to justify everything up to including martial law.

I just think if one more “close” election is decided by some ACORN sec of state or “found ballots” or ANY such shenanigans, it will be hard to put it back in the bag...
There is just so much freedom-loving folks can take...

They tried and pretty much failed with the racial epithet story. That WOULD have had legs and its still being mouthed by the more virulently ignorant like that fool at the AJC.
All Tea Parties should have some sort of video backup to disprove the lies the leftists will bring out. So far its been loose and random that video has been picked up and all but maybe it needs to be more formalized...like a designated videographer[s] or something.
