COLUMBIA -- Some Columbia neighbors are up in arms after a brutal dog attack on Thursday.

After numerous alleged incidents, many are hoping this animal will be taken off the streets for good and their home will again become a safe place for families to walk the streets.

Brad Muller lives in the Knollwood neighborhood of Columbia. Thursday afternoon, his family was attacked while walking down the street.

Muller says that he got a call from his wife saying that she and their son had been attacked by a pitbull.

He says his wife, mother-in-law and eight month old son were walking down the street when the animal attacked the child's stroller.

The family tried to fight it off, but the dog grabbed her and took her shoe off. They ran to try to get away.

WACH FOX News tried to speak with the owners of the dog. They declined to go on camera, but they did tell us this was the only incident of an attack.

But neighbors say that's not the case.

It’s absolutely amazing to me that this should even have to be discussed. There are too many incidents of this happening and they need to be stopped and stopped now. Since when does walking down the street for a casual stroll with your baby become so dangerous. From a dog! This unfortunately is the world we live in today.

“A neighbor says his wife, mother-in-law and eight month old son were walking down the street when the animal attacked the child’s stroller.”

Well they obviously provoked the gentle little fuzzball/s

This is why pugs are better.

Once again the pitties get the blame, shoot the owners that trained him/her.

The dog has assaulted numerous people. The owner of the dog should face multiple assault charges and be held responsible for all liabilities.

The most trained, obedient and fun-loving dog can flip out.

When that occurs, a toy-poodle, a scar on the ankle. Pit-bull, mastiff etc. Dead. Or that poor two year in the UK this week, that had her lower jaw ripped off by a Mastiff.

If I look at these headlines like a Leftist then my opinion would be to give these doggies more doggy treats and promote them to a position of power as a bureaucrat.

Every insurance company needs to tell owners of pitbulls they will not cover damages thus making the homeowner exposed to lawsuits.

After numerous alleged incidents

Ok, so the mom and grandmother knew this dog was a danger but they made the decision to go for a walk by his house? Not only that but they brought along the baby stroller that was probably squeaking or making a noise that would agitate the dog. Sorry, but they are as much to blame, if not more because they are adult human beings, for what happened.

They forgot to bring a firearm or a hunting knife with them on their walks. They decided to be a victim instead of refusing to be one.

Those squeaky strollers can be a killer!

When I use to walk almost 5 miles a day, divided into two walks, with my toddler daughter in her stroller, I had a HUGE hammer on the little tray below the seat. Now, IF I had it to do over, I’d carry one of my pistols instead.

If I was a leftist big government type, I’d promote these particular dogs to be in charge of government run health care.

The human version is currently being recruited for that task. They will be attacking good hardworking families - enmasse.

The dog didn't 'flip out'. It has a history of vicious behavior and attacks, but the owners do not seem to have been held responsible.
