I have seriously been thinking of leaving the country. My hope is pretty much gone that we can turn any of this around. Who would I be staying for....to support the people who ride in the cart and don't contribute and hate this country? I'm too old for all this and if the immigration bill goes through, I totally believe all is lost. How can we pay VAT, Tax and Trade, Healthcare, Local sales taxes, income taxes, etc., etc. and survive? So overused today, but it's "non-sustainable"

Laos and Cambodia are both nice places, very remote, and very cheap. You have to leave (e.g., to Thailand or Vietnam) to renew your visa periodically, but that’s not such a big deal. Vietnam is also nice if you stay away from the big cities and northern Thailand is great.

I lived in Slovakia for over four years, and some time in Budapest and in Romania.
Remember, very few speak English and the cost of living is exploding.
Keep in mind, Moscow, last I heard, was listed as the most expensive city in the world.

If I had the money, I would go to Costa Rica. There are many Americans down there who made the choice long ago, as a way to preserve their wealth and not have it stolen by the parasites in this country.

This is a GLOBAL march to a controlled state of affairs. The Health Care bill is a dovetail to the banking reforms...give the IRS superpowers and access to your bank account. All the arguments about Healthcare, while valid, miss the main point IMO.
The ultimate goal is a cashless society where total dependence on government is the norm. The climate bills are a conduit to a global tax structure. We already have the technical global currency in place used to settle global transactions. The entire system is simply a bunch of fantasy on a ledger sheet or in a computer system. The environmentalists are THIS CLOSE to destroying whatever property rights exist.
It might feel better to live out your days in a remote area away from the eye of the storm, but you aren’t “escaping” anything.
The vast majority of the GOP aren’t doing us any favors on these points either. The GOP winning in 2010 “solves” exactly nothing without a continued push to change the party itself.
