As the buzz surrounding Tron Legacy continues to grow - an impressive feat, considering the film itself isn't even due out until December - Disney is reportedly putting the pieces in place for a sequel already.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio has given Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz the job of coming up with a script for what'd be a third Tron movie. This isn't dissimilar to the tactics that Warner Bros employed with Sherlock Holmes last year, when work on a second movie had begun even before the first had been seen. The upside of the gamble, which Warner Bros won, was if the first film hits, the second can move ahead that bit quicker.

Flynn Lives!
Tron and The Black Hole
2 of the worst SCIFI movies ever made.
I don’t know about worst, at least for kids, but not worthy of remakes for sure.
Why does Hollywood always need to make remakes of GOOD movies?
There is much more room for improvement if you remake sucky films.
The recent Sherlock Holmes was a dud too. It was so bad, you really didn’t hate the antagonist, but he dies in the end just the same.
“Transformers 2, Revenge of the Fallen” and the Highlander sequels put up some pretty stiff competition!
transformers was for big kids, who played with the toys as little kids...I wouldnt watch it.
I’m anxiously awaiting the sequel to “My Dinner With Andre.”
Dr. Strangelove II
I mean, don’t you wonder what happened NEXT?!!!

On the one hand, we have the United States: the most prosperous country ever. Even our poor are fat and own cell phones. And everyone has a fair shot at prosperity.
Hollywood's Plan: Let's remake that country! Let's try Communism! We know that communism has failed everywhere it's been tried, but we think we can get it right this time!
On the other hand, we have a movie like "Heaven's Gate". Terrible movie. Smart people thought it had great potential, but the execution was lacking.
Hollywood's Plan: Give it another shot? Heck, No! It's a dog! No one would be willing to give it another try. We're moving on!
Hollywood's Other Plan: Saaaaaaay, I hear that Michael Eisner is going to remake "The Wizard of Oz" -- it's going to be a claymation extravaganza with Tom Cruise, Matt Damon and Mariah Carey. It's gonna be big Baby! Big!
Except TBH has an awesome OST that needs to be expanded.

Actually Tron was eye candy back in 1982, no one could imagine it looking like that more than 20 years ago.
You are telling me nothing was worse than Time Bandits and the Neverending Story?
Half of the time when you hear about a "remake" like this, it is spurred by agents and a studio boss all trying to generate buzz about their names with no actual intent of making said "concept remake".
Witness Quentin Tarantino's "remake" of Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! with Britney Spears.
They already have at least two trailers but no script?
Nevermind, misread.
