American Minute for April 19th:
Paul Revere was captured along the way, but William Dawes and Samuel Prescott continued the midnight ride from Boston's Old North Church to warn the inhabitants of Concord that British troops were coming to seize their guns.
In early dawn, APRIL 19, 1775, American "Minutemen," as poet Emerson wrote, fired the "shot heard round the world" by confronting the British on Lexington Green and at Concord's Old North Bridge.
The conflict began that in eight years would end in independence.
New England celebrates this as "Patriots' Day."
Also on APRIL 19, in the year 1951, General Douglas MacArthur retired from 48 years of patriotic service.
The most decorated soldier in U.S. history, MacArthur served in France in WWI, was Superintendent of West Point and the youngest Army Chief of Staff.
General Douglas MacArthur was Supreme Allied Commander in the Pacific in WWII and received Japan's surrender.
He commanded UN forces against North Korea, but was dismissed by President Truman for not fighting a limited war.
Douglas MacArthur said: "Like the old soldier of that ballad, I now close my military career and just fade away, an old soldier who has tried to do his duty as God gave him the light to see that duty."
No better way to remember and honor those Minutemen of the Shot Heard Round the World battle fame - as well as General Douglas MacArthur and all those who served with him in WWI, II, the Korean Wars and ALL our Patriots in the Armed Forces both of times past and of today - than by doing what millions in this nation are doing - joining and becoming active in the Tea Party movement -
DO THIS TODAY!
Join a Tea Party group and/or take an action today to help the cause of freedom and today's revolution which is well underway and which will bring our nation back to its founding ideals come this November- provided every American does their / our part in the "battles" at hand.
Whether it's praying for the movement, giving to Freedom loving candidates, joining local GOP groups and becoming active in what they are doing now, emailing others you know to become active, particpating in the publicizing of events - candidates - gatherings, or attending rallies or DECIDING NOW WHOM YOU CAN ENABLE TO VOTE NOW AND IN THE FALL by bringing them to the polls or getting them to do early voting.
Volunteering to be a pollwatcher in November is a tremendous heroic action many can take as these heroes monitor what goes on at the polling places which can prevent the planned voter fraud from taking place.
Thank you to all who have done something already - and the many who have done much - both from the very beginning of the Tea Party movement AND those who have just recently become aware and have joined up and will take action NOW to help "the great cause" for which our forefathers and mothers bled and sacrificed for the past 200+ years!

The MacArthurs were known as McArtairs up in Scotland. Their battle cry was “Listen, O ye, listen!” That originated from their ancestor, King Artair [King Arthur] [according to their belief]. His descendents travelled north to Scotland.
General Douglas MacArthur was far more brilliant than most historians can perceive. He was one of the few high level officers in WWI to actually enter the front lines and see the battlefield for himself. He quickly learned that the Germans did not anchor their flanks. He was able to byppass “trench warfare” time and again by skirting the fortified trenches. That was what made him so successful in his younger years.
FDR called MacArthur his “conscience” if I recall correctly. He and the general had several shouting matches. MacArthur fought tooth and nail from keeping the military from being completely scuttled prior to WWII. His primary influence was to maintain the officers. After one key fiery row, he threw up outside the Whitehouse. Shortly after that, MacArthur and FDR needed space.
MacArthur’s next strategy was to make the Phillipines a major bombing base, defended by a massive militia force. From those islands, we could strafe Japan’s supply routes and cut Japan off from vital oil and other important necessities. But FDR skimped on his promises.
The leftwing media which would later defend Algar Hiss also hated MacArthur with a passion. They made things up about him out of whole cloth.
After regrouping in Australia, Marshall skimped on his supplies and support. Many of MacArthur’s men blamed the general. Despite that, MacArthur was able to take land with fewer losses per square mile than the well supplied navy. The difference is shocking. Being out of the loop, his advice sometimes appeared to be out of whack with reality, but that was the fault of FDR’s men.
A side note, the ancestor of Harold Ickes [Clintonista fame] had designs on ruling the Philipines. MacArthur, however, refused to break his promise.
He later brilliantly guided Japan to the Free World. After that, MacArthur defied overwhelming odds when he led his men on a bold and stunning string of victories in Korea. You may notice that the reason MacArthur is fired is fuzzy. That’s because Truman needed the reason to be fuzzy.

But he didn’t fade away to the people. As a child, I saw him in a parade in Galveston. I was on the back of a flatbed truck and he waved right at me as he went by. Somewhere I have pictures.
And he also squashed his own country’s veterans, like the “general” instrumental in the Waco massacre, hmmm???

He and many others in the military had to follow orders. Here’s a blurb from your wiki-page:

The Bonus Army, their wives and children were driven out with fixed bayonets and adamsite gas ...”
Oh yes, and two children died. Terrible injuustice, I agree. I suppose the military should have disobeyed their commander-in-chief, and then we would have lost WWII, because all our best officers would have been in military prison.
Oh my goodness - what a treasure trove of information you are.
I always knew I loved General MacArthur....even though I just barely remember him now....I was privileged to be alive to know just a tiny bit about him - as he lived his final years on this earth.
The information you recount shows that the General was planned to be where he was in our nation’s times of need from generations previous to even his birth - previous to even the birth of our nation!
In other words, the General’s life is a testimony to God’s faithfulness in His plans for our nation - plans that He formulated in eternity past - that we have witnessed come into being.
Where would our nation, and the whole world, be had General MacArthur not have “come on the scene” just exactly when he did?
Thank God for His goodness to us all, and especially, for His provision for and goodness to, this nation through His chosen vessels - such as General Douglas MacArthur - and through all the “heroes” of the faith which William Federer highlights in these amazing American Minutes!

I can’t help but think how the scriptures would have been overturned if we had a decent president who supported the Venona Project and kept MacArthur at the table?
We would have actually achieved world peace and ended worldwide tyranny.
God is in control, but He will not override free will, such as our voting decisions. God allows us to to make sinful, wicked, and foolish decisions. The supporters of FDR had betrayed the Free World to a breathtaking degree.
Well - yes - God is in control.
Somewhere in the Bible this “mystery of iniquity” is addressed - in which the writer says something about what if those who do evil in this world are planned just as much as the vessels who do God’s good.
I know for instance that God called Nebuchadnezzar “my servant”. He said the same thing about Cyrus who was a pagan ruler (of the Medes and Persians?) who allowed the Jews of his day to return from captivity to rebuild ancient Jerusalem after the exact 70 years of captivity that God’s people experienced due to their own sin and rebellion against God’s good plans for them.
As wierd as this sounds, I beileve such “evil” leaders as FDR, and Obama, and even bloody tyrants such as Mugabe, and Mao, and Stalin (all of whom I have loathed) - are indeed God’s servants!
They are carrying out God’s plan - using their free will decisions - but these are decisions that the omniscient God have known about from the creation of the universe!
It is the sovereignty of God on display.
So all I can do, is stand back in awe as God brings the great drama to it’s great and final concluding chapters of human history of the world as we have known it - and as the next stage of the drama unfolds - which involves Jesus’ return and the coming of the new Jerusalem on this earth and Jesus’ reign here with his beloveds - and then a new heaven and a new EARTH will break into reality!
What else can we do when we begin to see all this - but just cry “Glory to God in the Highest!”
In that view, we can truly thank God even for the people who are agents of satan - because back of that - these people are God’s servants!!!! All of them!!!!
So glad you got to see The General in person! How great is that!
