It was just a prank!
On Thursday, April 1, 2010 ( April Fools day) me and my class of fellow students decided to pull a small prank that would not hurt or disrupt anything during class: At 3 p.m., the entire class (or half of the class, as it ended up to be) fell out of their seats at the same time and laid in the floor for a few seconds and then got back in their chairs again.
After we had returned back into our chairs we began reading again. By the time we had all returned to our chairs, our teacher had left the classroom and, what we later found out, had called an administrator. We were all taken down to the ISS (in-school suspension) room where we were then given two days of in-school suspension. When we pulled our prank, it was at the end of the day and the last day before spring break; we were also reading and it was not during a lecture or a test. It was a simple prank where nothing was broken or hurt.
The reason Im writing this is because I dont believe that we should be serving two days of ISS for something so small and harmless. We even got back up and continued reading after she walked out of the room. And, yes, we said April Fools!
So, do you think we were in the wrong for doing such a simple, harmless prank? Do we deserve the two days of ISS? Maybe 50-to-life would have been more appropriate for rolling on the floor?
I think not. Some people need to lighten up, have a laugh and enjoy life.

Wow! Sister James would NOT have been amused in my school! LOL
had something similar happen in jr high...we did a book drop...big big mistake....lol...we paid the price...just no sense of humor...
They probably overreacted ... but part of pulling a “prank” is having the stones to take your lumps. Serve your suspension, and move on with your life.

I’d guess a detention or two would be sufficient, but the discipline in our schools is now dictated by lawyers.
Still, 2 days of all-day study hall isn’t exactly the rack.
He was also the one who taught us that the House of Representatives had revoked their minimum height requirement but the Senate still had one when a particularly ditzy student commented how short our Representative was after he talked to the class.
If we had done this to Sr. Benedict in my school, we all probably would have gotten a swat witht he yardstick. She had absolutely no sense of humor.
When I was a kid, we’d pass a note around saying, “At exactly 1:23, everybody drop your book on the floor.” We’d do it, and it would make a really loud noise. I suppose today, the teacher would have a heart attack and we’d all be in jail for attempted murder.
Uh, but you did disrupt class. And yes, I think 2 days ISS is fine. One would probably have been more fair, but suck it up kid. Take it like a man and stop whining.
LOL Just a bit of an overreaction to 2 days ISS for pulling a stupid prank that did disrupt class.
The mistake of the students was not understanding that these people are actually looking for reasons to harm them.
LOL Sure, 2 days ISS is going to scar these kids for life.
Good grief.

Heil Grammatik!
The Vice Principal was imperfectly amused. He spent hours with alcohol getting the adhesive off.
I would suggest falling out of your chairs in the ISS room just to see whathappens
I am sooooo stealing that...
