Here is video showing Chinese and Turkish Evangelical Christian researchers who are virtually sure they have found the remains of Noah's Ark atop Turkey's Mt. Ararat. The video shows them revealing wooden planks and compartments in the structure. You can hear them knocking on wood. The Bible teaches that at the end of the great worldwide flood, the Ark came to rest on a mountain. A Dutch researcher has confirmed he believes this is Noah's Ark.

Cool beans. Unless this is a giant hoax by Christians, you can chalk up one more archeological proof of Biblical writings.

You don’t have to believe that one of every species was in the Ark; that may be hyperbole indulged in by the scribe.

But it isn’t a reach to say that many tales from the ancients, not just the Jews, have their genesis in facts.

It seems like almost daily there are archeological finds that support many of the stories that have been labeled myths.

Interesting video, but likely just another hoax.

The Chinese will copy the Ark, mass-produce it in Shenzen with US dollars, and put the Israeli Ark-Builders out of business with the loss of 8 jobs and the Tel Aviv Zoo.

That’s right, who knows about this particular video and discovery. But there have been hundreds of confirmed archeological discoveries through the centuries that affirm what is found in the Bible. The faith of the Christian is not dependent on these discoveries, but it is certainly encouraging when they come about.

The faith of those who do not believe is dependent on far less.

Unless this is a giant hoax by Christians

I am not buying this particular video as proof for much of anything. That being said, these people might be frauds, but, Christians have a book that tells them it is wrong, a sin, to lie.

Those who have a chip on their shoulder against Christians and Christianity many times have nothing but their own black hearts to guide their morality or lack thereof.

Flood stories are fascinating, they permeate almost all ancient societies. A flood which wipes out (almost) all humanity is a common theme in myths from Sumeria, South and Central America, China, Greece, Egypt, et cetera. In most, a small group of humans survive either by climbing to the top of the highest peak and waiting it out or by building an ark loaded with animals and eventually landing on the highest peak.

So why did all these ancient peoples devise these stories? There is at least one theory that in fact, the floods were real. Specifically, human beings, modern human beings, have existed since the last ice age and before. These were people no different than us, same brain capacity. So their experience with the massive and geologically sudden end to the ice age with its massive melting and rapidly rising sea levels would be remembered and reflected in their oral traditions, passed on from generation to generation and eventually captured in writing when that developed. If true, they would be the most ancient of human traditions, going back many thousands of years before the pyramids were conceived.

I suppose another theory would be that the flood as described in the bible is literally true and that all mankind descends from those few survivors, and that the shared oral traditions are the result of the memory of that distant event. Some "whisper down the lane" corruption of the story over centuries would explain the differences, and the attribution of the source of the flood to different gods, etc I suppose.

Whichever of these you prefer, both are more believable to me than the idea that all over the world, people came up with the same interesting idea for a fictional story and then decided it was such a good tale that it was the one they all would save for eternity. Seems more likely it was something real, something important that inspired these legends.

So I watched the video of what appears to be Chinese people poking around in a cave.

And there’s possibly some wood in there.

Ark found !1!

More than that, folks from Egypt, e.g., wouldn't think much of a garden variety flood as they had to put up with them nearly every year.
