For The First Time, Police Use Taser Gun to Subdue Phillies Fan

Philadelphia police found a new way to tame an unruly fan at Citizens Bank Park during the Phillies game, they tased him.
It happened Monday night at the start of the eighth inning with the Phillies trailing the Cardinals.
A teenage fan waving a rally towel jumped the fence and ran out into center field with stadium security and a Philadelphia police officer in pursuit.
The police officer then fired a taser at the fan to bring him down

My favorite game disruption happened many years ago during a pro football game. Too far back to remember all of the details.
A hippie type ran on to the field carrying some banner, probably an anti-war protest. The fat security/police officers chased him for a while but never got close to catching him. Finally one of the linemen, who must have been 150 pounds heavier, took off and ran over the hippie. He didn't tackle him or push him down he just ran over him. When security finally caught up he was lying on the ground doing an imitation of a pretzel. Two security men took him by his arms and dragged him off of the field. Never heard about his condition.

Did they both have a clown suit on? I can just hear the ballpark organ requesting a “cheer” answer. Last game I was at, the insurance caveman ran out, but they caught him and they didn’t taser him.
