I heard this also on FOX last night. Now thanks to your link I have written documentation to back it up.

OBAMA LIES AGAIN

“Let me be clear: BP is responsible for this leak; BP will be paying the bill,” Obama said while touring the area Sunday.

While it’s true that the federal Oil Pollution Act, enacted in 1990 in response to the Exxon Valdez spill in Alaska, makes BP responsible for cleanup costs, the law caps the company’s liability for economic damages — such as lost wages, shortened fishing seasons or lagging tourism — at $75 million, a pittance compared to potential losses.

Most interesting:

The British oil giant spent $16 million on lobbying last year and has as one of its lobbyists in Washington Tony Podesta, whose brother John heads the Soros-funded Center For American Progress. And BP gave Barack Obama $71,000 in the 2008 election cycle.

Turns out BP’s top campaign recipient in all the House and Senate races in the 2008 cycle was Mary Landrieu, who received $17,000 in campaign contributions. She told the Times-Picayune she doesn’t plan on giving back any of that money.

Big Consumer!! ...walk, don't drive!!

Stop contributing to the demand.

Yes, the spill is a disaster. ...but it could be worst.

BP and the other oil companies, the rig manufactures, rig equipment manufactures, rig crews make the world go round.

But a big liberal like you wouldn't get that.

Prayers for the familes of the 11 that died and the many that got hurt!

Bad People

If they had bothered to do the math, any fool would know having a big rusty bucket on a tender is a good idea, no matter what.

Why bash BP when you can blame the blow-out, rig collapes, 11 deaths and oil spill on boogie-man Dick Cheney.

Dick Cheney himself was doing the cementing job for Halliburton at the time the blow-out occured. ...didn't you hear?

Emotionally immature mentalities would do better just reading and refraining from commenting. That should be left to those able to live in the REAL world without a cocoon of make-believe for insulation.

How old are you?

I have no idea what you are saying?

rusty buckets to protect it?

I doubt there is anything those 11 would agree with you about. ..nothing.

The roughnecks and engineers that drill for the energy that makes my country great love their jobs.

Liberals like you that hang out at FR finally out themselves sooner or later.

Bucket=Containment Dome=Big rusty bucket turned upside down over leak with piping up to tanker.

Tanker to refinery=biz as usual, unless you don't have one around, in which case it will be a whole lot more expensive than if you had.

I'm old, very old.
