World's biggest beaver dam can be seen from space
The Telegraph ^ | 4 May 2010 | staff reporter

This woodland construction is the world's biggest beaver dam, which at 2,790ft is more than twice the length of the Hoover dam and can be seen from space.

The mammals use trees, mud and stone to make a type of moat where they can use their swimming skills to evade any predators.

The families live in lodges on the dams and spend their days adding to and repairing the incredible structures.

The dam was spotted by experts monitoring the size and spread of the beaver dams in North America.

It is located on the southern edge of Wood Buffalo National Park in Northern Alberta, Canada

No, They caused 1.75 Million bucks in damage when a dam let go near a place I own in Mass. 22 Mags work well to keep the riff raff down.

According to my calculations, the average car is about 15 or 16 feet long. That woman is at least 8 car lengths high. That would make her at the least 120 feet tall.

It was a dam shame the City had just accepted the road and the tax payers had to pay for it. As an aside they also screwed up the drainage down to the Merrimack and I had to put in a sump pump, BRING BACK BEAVER HATS!

LOL. I love beaver hats - although I can’t recall the last time I wore one. The little critters can do some serious damage, for sure.
