OK, point taken, however, why should a choice on his part to sell products that meet his standards be considered fascist, there is no force involved on his part to keep you from buying other products.

A user can go to any website on an iMac, MacBook, iPhone, iPod, or iPad. What Jobs is talking about is the programs in the App Store. The App Store in iTunes is not going to sell porno applications.

Totally aware of that. :o) I wouldn't buy a Mac for other reasons. My ex wife works at an Apple store and I sent her some standard video format file she couldn't open on her Mac...it's things like that .

Well, they'd start off with the Glenn Beck Show, seeing as how they're already "boycotting" that one. It wouldn't be too long before Free Republic made the black list. It'd go on from there. Then when kids log on to the internet through their iPads the experience would be scrubbed clean of inconvenient ideas just like it is in China (or your local college campus). Taking part in Pornography is sin.

Steve Jobs wants to limit the viewing of Pornography.

He’s really one of the last folks I’d take advice on morals from given his business past and his own personality and how he deals with people. This is yet one more example.

THIS is the free market at work! Rather than cater to the lowest common denominator, Apple has chosen to deliberately exclude certain market segments it deems unworthy of its products. Just as the freedom of association innately requires a freedom to disassociate, so too does a free market necessitate that entities be allowed to refuse to do business with whom they choose.

If Steve Jobs keeps this up, my next phone, computer, and other technology purchases will almost certainly be Apple. And I say this as someone who has never purchased any Apple product before and was about to purchase a Droid phone next month. Apple may even be my next stock purchase.

The guts of my PC are nothing like when I bought it. Apple is just too restrictive for most things...my parameter requirements for a phone are minimal and the iPhone works great. A desktop or laptop is another story...
