USA v Algeria 10am EDT
USA win, they are in!
World cup ping!
Can they beat the refs?
USA - Advance with a win, or a draw and an England loss or low-scoring draw
Slovenia - Advance with a win or draw, or with a USA loss
England - Advance with a win, a draw and a USA loss, or a high scoring draw and a low-scoring USA draw
Algeria - Advance with a win and an England loss
USA has the advantage over England right now on goals scored (3-1) as both teams, with two draws, have a +0 goal differential. If both win or draw, 1st/2nd or 2nd/3rd placement will come down to goal differential (in the case of wins) first, then goals scored. If those measures are tied, it will be random draw.
The REAL sports action this weekend is at the European Grand Prix:

No sissy refs there.
No doubt! Stupid game with even worse fans. A bunch of little guys play keep away for 90 minutes as the fans play their monotone kazoos. Every once in a while one of the players falls down and pretends he is hurt. At the end if they are tied everybody celebrates. No wonder nobody in the USA likes it.
Are you sure that this game will be televised via ABC-TV???
They are going to pre-empt “The View” and Martha Stewart” for this???
You had a superb opportunity not to parade your tedious and tendentious opinions in a football thread.
Guess what? You blew it.
We don’t gay about on your favorite sports threads. How about you return the favor?
Too funny raybbr,
Good job.
Or sissy FReepers, like you.
Nothing beats the last few minutes of a tight soccer match when it comes to suspense.
Its better than American football where a four hour game has five minutes of actual action.
Or baseball where there is almost no room for creativity and very few displays of athleticism.
What if they tie?
Touché!
Nevermind, the answer is already posted....sorry
We can still advance with a tie, but it will depend on the outcome of the England - Slovenia match. A win and we’re in!
Obviously you have never tried to hit an 85mph breaking ball. Nor throw - accurately - an 85mph breaking ball. No athleticism? Sheesh!
