The sifting of more than 800 cubic yards (612 cubic meters) of debris recovered from ground zero and underneath roads around the lower Manhattan site began in April and ended Friday.

The greatest number of remains – 37 – were found from material underneath West Street, a highway on the west side of ground zero. The new debris was uncovered as construction work made new parts of the site accessible.

Well, us folks here on F.R. won't forget. The idiots watching “The Bachelor”, “Dancing with the Stars”, etc. have forgotten along time ago.

I worked in one of those buildings and a firm on 6th Ave I had been working for earlier moved there. Fortunately, I had left them at that point, because they were the company that had the second highest losses. The only person I still kept in touch with there got out alive, but it was really sort of a fluke and many other coworkers were killed.

The idea of this mosque being built there literally makes me physically ill.

While you are correct, Us FReepers will NEVER FORGET. Trust me, most NYer’s have already forgotten, unless they were directly/indirectly affected by it. Most especially the F”n politicians, that like to show up for anniversaries and then screw everyone the next day with some bill or other re: WTC. Bloomberg is good at that. Can’t stand that man...
God Bless all of those lost souls!
God Bless the USA. Even the idiots...

We won't forget, but I have to ask...

Why isn't this in the NY Times, or Washington Post, etc?

Kinda trips a flag when we have to get our news from foreign sources, doesn't it?

So true. A dear friend died that fateful day in the Second Tower. All his lovely wife and two beautiful girls got back was a piece of his skull the size of a quarter ...and many unfulfilled dreams. We cling to the good memories because it still hurts.

I asked myself the same question.

It’s expedient for *them*/MSN to forget and not mention this to accelerate the demise of this nation.

My friend who was there got out only because they had an Irish intern working with them who heard the first plane strike and thought it was a bomb. The security folks on the PA system were telling them to stay in place because everything was fine, but he told them that if there’s a first bomb, there’s always a second one. This was his experience from Ireland. And he was right, there was a second strike.

Most of the people in his section (including my friend) ignored the PA system announcements and went down the stairs with him, which took a long, long time, and they got out not long before the collapse. The people who remained behind died.

I hate Islam. Having this mosque next to the old WTC site is indeed a mockery.

And yet today we have Muslims getting Christians arrested in Michigan and Mexican drug lords camping out in the hills in Arizona. Where does it end?

“Why isn't this in the NY Times, or Washington Post, etc?”

I can understand that as they are the obedient boot licking slaves of their liberal masters - but why no Fox? They are supposed to be on the right side, and broadcast from New York city. Maybe tonight.

We have to find this out from England?

And NY is letting them build a mosque on top of them. Insult upon insult. Not that I was ever planning a vacation to NYC, but it’s definitely on my No Visit list.

Hussein hasn't forgotten, he's just doing as he promised - to side with his muslim brothers.
