I happened to be watching a TCM classic movie this morning, THE BAMBOO PRISON, a Korean War POW melodrama from 1955. In the movie, the GI's are getting tortured and brainwashed by the ChiComs, and some of them are turning traitor and parroting the communist party line. The reds call these turncoat GIs "the progressives", and everything about them is "progressive" this and "progressive" that. Now, in order to avoid the tainted term "liberal", our own home-grown loony leftists prefer to call themselves "progressives". But even in 1955, it was well known that "Progressive" = Lousy Commie Stooge. And it still does.

Yes, if you read commie “literature” or read about places that the commies took over, such as South Vietnam, you’ll hear that term thrown about quite a bit. Another word that the commies love to use is “socialism”. Funny how certain people and groups are trying to rehabilitate that word here in the US.
Saw a comment on another article about progressives. One recommends we start calling Progressives what they are: Oppressives.

Honestly, I don’t know how to link. It is a comment on the lead article this morning on American Thinker’s website on the left’s world purification movement. That, in turn, links to a longer article which I have printed out for future digestion. If you know how to link, it would be great. The comment, though, is on the AT’s digest of the original article.

It’s long been the reds’ preferred euphemism for themselves when trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the “booboisie”. Comparable to the way they use “fascist” to mean anybody to their right.
