I can’t talk about “0”...really I just can’t. Just cannot.

The Orkin man said it isn’t unusual for handy men to go away..when I told him of my problem..The name he gave me is the fulltime handy man for an owner of apartments..He does some work on the side.
Garage door repair cos are something else..I don’t think the small recovery is strong..I think confidence is weak, too. Companies are nervous about hiring..consumers are nervous in general..and then unemployment is still high.
By the way..I need to call my door co..My garage door gets cranky when it is cold. Cold is not in the offing..triple digit temps are.
I pray you are wrong about the oil disaster’s long lasting effects....A lot of people are hurting..and wildlife affected.

Goodness, that looks great, even though I’m in coffee mode still, working on cup 1. Have to have my cup of strong straight black coffee, in my American flag mug to start my day.

I think so too, yorkie! You were a busy lady yesterday and I was too! Had to get a birthday card off to brother, plus many other things. I paid a lot to be sure the card arrived on Saturday for birthday!

I am going to lunch with a friend today. We are going to Fishtales (they have very good seafood!) I will be busy getting ready, straightening house, etc. Have a good day!

Thanks Meg! And I do too! I am not counting my chickens before they hatch though! I haven't opened Google or Photobucket for 2 days.

It took me 10 minutes to get tinypic to open a graphic. I gotta get busy now. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Garbage Island
July 30, 2010

The other day I ran across a troubling report about people who think it is acceptable to use the ocean as a giant garbage dump. Here is an excerpt: “If you should see this amazing floating pile of plastic in the Pacific Ocean, it’s called ‘The Great Pacific Garbage Patch.’ It features three million tons of plastic debris floating in an area larger than Texas. An eye-popping 46,000 pieces of plastic float on every square mile of ocean!” Other sources estimate the amount of garbage is even bigger. Plastic is especially bad because it does not dissolve.

During our sojourn on earth, we have been charged, like Adam, with taking care of the earth and its creatures that God has given us. Genesis 2:15 says, “The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.” God delights in what He has made and this extends to the sea and all that live in it (1:10,20-21).

This world should remind us of the greatness of our Creator and serve as a springboard of praise to Him. Indifferently using it as a garbage dump mars its beauty and threatens the creatures that live here. Showing respect and caring for the land, the ocean, and the air is our duty as believers in Christ.

For Further Study
To learn about our responsibility to care for the world God has created, read Celebrating The Wonders Of Creation online at www.discoveryseries.org/q1108

Caring for God’s creation is the believer’s duty.

You are most welcome, and may I add a little bit of grated cheese to the potatoes for you, or a tad more Cheddar Cheese to the wrap?

Sweet note! Thank you!
Norton or Windows Defender..not sure which, shuts down Photobucket when something bad is trying to get on my computer..I try again later.
I haven’t used tinypic in ages. They subbed a porno pic for an old viola link so I know they have hackers..I have a lot of dead tinypic links saved in my text files..I know never to depend on them to save a link..
I use Imageshack..though it has problems, too at times...(slow server) and Photobucket though it can have bad actors trying to attach viruses. I can store photos on Imageshack, too..and save them to an album. I deleted images once I put them in an album after I first started using Imageshack..lost a lot of Sunday post links that way after one Sunday..LOL I learned.
Never delete from main site..Albums are just a way to organize and find certain topics.
Viruses love to try to attack favorite sites, it seems .

Wow! I can't tell you how wonderful that would be
To take a riverboat cruise today (and tonight!)

It would be such smooth sailing
with no fear of storms or wracking waves.

Or pirates at sea! LOL!
