Normally, I couldn't care less about anything having to do with grown men on bicycles. But, since the French and Euros seem to hate Armstrong, I hope these allegations are proven to be baseless. I'd hate to see anything diminish what he's accomplished on such a global stage.

Let’s see: Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds, McGuire, Giambi, A Roid, Tiger, Lance - all above and beyond the other competitors. Tiger not so much lately because the PGA is supposedly enforcing drug tests though I doubt it.

"How many times have they investigated Lance already?"

The international governing committees have had numerous investigations. But, I don't believe the feds have ever looked into it. I'm not entirely sure why it's the business of the Feds. "Fraud" can be abused by over zealous prosecutors looking into just about anything.

At best, it seems like there MIGHT be a civil case to be made by his sponsors, but there's no criminal conspiracy or act here. In fact, it's not even illegal per se to take steroids off-label or to obtain them without a prescription, like it is for Schedule III drugs. I don't understand what the criminal issue is that merits a grand jury.

They’ll try to nail him for sure. World class cycling is a very dirty sport, I would not be surprised to find out that every major rider is on something.

Well I’m glad to see the Federal government has solved all our problems with the economy, and the Gulf leak, so that they have time to go after Lance.

Landis is a disgraced bitter doper who was caught in the act and has a book coming out as he has no other ability to make a paycheck now. Lance has never flunked a test and they random test the hell out of the tdf riders these days.

They have to do something with all of those Federal Courthouses.

At times, Lance was tested on a daily basis.

I remember reading in one of the many cycling books on Lance (I can't remember which one) that, on a regular basis, Lance would return home from having dinner at a restaurant to find the testing people waiting on his doorstep.

If he were a doper, he, of all people, would have been caught by now.

I suspect he has doped up...just like that Bonds character...all the records in the world while using roids yet no way to prove it....

the whole deal is that a lot of these players and others probably used HGH and I don't know of any test to prove it.

..but then they'll admit to steroids because "everyone does it" while they can hide the real game changer...HGH..

Human Growth Hormone is the real story IMO.....

Lance has been drug tested considerably more often than the others. Even if he had been using masking agents he has gone a long time without having anything turn up.
