ESPN has gone through food-safety inspection reports from last year for every venue in Major League Baseball, the NBA, NHL and NFL and unearthed some stomach-turning findings.
Among the more startling reports:
Green Bay Packers' Lambeau Field: Two locations were cited after an employee "did not wash hands after blowing nose or eating food prior to handling customer food or ice."
Phoenix Suns' US Airways Center: Dozens of flies and a live roach in a dish room.
Denver Broncos' Mile High Stadium: Fruit flies in whiskey bottles at three bars.
Miami Dolphins' Sun Life Stadium: Employee reported small insects and other debris blended into frozen alcoholic drinks.
Indianapolis Colts' Lucas Oil Stadium: TV report revealed mouse droppings and mice -- dead and alive -- around the stadium.

YUM!!!
bttt
“Denver Broncos’ Mile High Stadium: Fruit flies in whiskey bottles at three bars.”
‘Fruit flies’ - I did not know they had three gay bars in the stadium.
;-)
I attended the final exibition game this spring at the new Target Field, here in Minneapolis against the Cards. The only things colder than the early April weather were the hot dogs.....
I am so shocked. (rolls eyes)
Charlie Rangel can rob us blind for decades, but the gubmint can bust a kid picking his nose...cripes...gimme a dog and hold the boogers.
“Miami Dolphins’ Sun Life Stadium: Employee reported small insects and other debris blended into frozen alcoholic drinks.”
Isn’t that the protein shake?
Kind of pointless to publish this information without a baseline comparison over how this compares to the restaurant industry (especially similar grade restaurants) as a whole.
Per operating day, do the stadiums have a better record? A worse one? About the same?
Ok. We have the cause, but what about the effect. You think a bunch of drunks are worried about someone eating ice? I know if I go to a game nowadays, the alcohol alone puts me behind 3 days. What’s a little bacteria? /s
Yet the vast majority of stadiums will NOT allow you to bring your own food inside..
This is why I tailgate.
It also explains your tagline.

I heard that the NFL will announce two new post season contests: The Toilet Bowl and the E Coli Bowl.
Hate to say this but folks who attend these events and willingly allow themselves to be ripped off for food and drink while captive there are probably too freaking stupid to care about any of this.
Then again, perhaps it’s well they do the Bread and Circuses thing and support 7 figure paydays for guys in tights to play with their balls lest they have to concern themselves that America is circling the drain and their kids are headed into slavery.
Looks like it’s taken us just over 240 years to do what it took the Romans 2000 to do: Destroy themselves.
Ahhh...PROGRESS!

Lighten Up, Francis.
Jeez, if it’s a worm in a tequila bottle, it’s a GOOD thing.
Colonel, USAFR
More “union quality” food prep I’m guessing...
But, since these stadiums charge 3 times the real price of a food item, it's ok if they get sick . . . . as long as they buy tickets to see more games!
That made my day.
Not to mention, it’s allot cheaper to get trashed in the parking lot than in the game.....
A couple years back I was at a celebration and ordered a scotch (Glenlivet, Glenmorangie, can't remember.) As soon as the waitress set it down, I just happened to notice a fruit fly in it - she brought me another - with another fly in it. This time they checked the bottle and there were several flies in it. So then they checked all the nearby bottles, but only the scotch, none of the other sugary liquors, had any pickled flies.
The moral of the story - Fruit flies have good taste.
Sorry, Brucie, but as the grandfather of 6 future slaves, I will NOT lighten up.
And just why are folks posting stuff about food safety concerns at the New Roman Games on FREE REPUBLIC? Precisly HOW does that relate do keeping our freedoms??
Most Denver Broncos fans are fruits.
Because keeping freedoms includes keeping the freedoms to entertain ourselves. What is the point of saving a country that has no release from the rigidity of every day life?
And if you are such a concern troll about what people post, why are you posting on a thread that is about something you dont like. Why didnt you just ignore it and move on to a more learned thread like:
Which is a better school of monetary policy, Austrian or Classical?
Which is a better University system, Perisian or Venetian?
Which is a better military strategy, scorched earth or guerrila?
I am also sorry that you think so little of you 6 grandchildren that you have already resigned to the eventuality that they will be slaves. Sure hope they dont give up as easily as you.
Are they therefore from Boulder?
Heavens to betsy! Food handling violations by stadium vendors? Hard to believe! I’m shocked, I tell you, shocked!
Thanks ESPN for such heavy duty investigative reporting! Oh, and I have a little tip for you on another story to check out: gum stuck to the bottom of stadium seating. That’s right. Gum. And lots of it.

And I've been fighting for AMERICA -- the idea -- in uniform and out since 1962.
I just believe you Bread and Circuses folk could employ those resources better working to elect decent AMERICANS to office.
You might find one of my efforts of interest -- if you can tear yourself away from ESPN for a few minutes.
Marches are fine if you're in the military but we'll be far more effective if we KEEP IT LOCAL!

You younger viewers who also took those English classes seriously need to know that "All politics IS local" is a direct quote from one Thomas P. "Tip" O'Neill, former Speaker of the House from Massachusetts.
Then, of course, it all depends on what the meaning of "is" is.
Do you even know the difference in Parisian and Venetian schools, or do you think slogans are all that is necessary to save the world?
And the fact that you wore a uniform doesnt have much to do with you not being able to read and stay off threads you dont like.
Plus, I really cant stand ESPN, dont like hype or highlights. I just watch the games. Then I go read from Stolen Valor. Then I come on here and read/post. Maybe the problem isnt that I have an escape. Maybe it is that you are too wound up in yourself that you cant enjoy your life while you fight for what you believe in.
Now, Im gonna go play volleyball with some friends.
Already assigned slave status to your youngun’s?
You don’t seem like you WANT freedom.
Now, go back to sneering at the mirror.
again..Lighten up francis.
MOST OF US, work pretty damn hard, and Need an escape.
Sports does the trick for most of us.
LOL! No kidding....yea, I’m sure we’re all shocked by these ‘surprise’ food violations. Not. :)
