IMDB lists DiCaprio as 6’ and Day-Lewis as 6’1”.
And I doubt I would take them seriously as the premier Five Points bare knuckle badass. At least D.D. Lewis had the whole "master of knives" thing going for him.
Directors are quite a bit more visible, especially someone like Mel. FWIW, off the top of my head Nolan, Mendes and Scorsese.
I think his fanbase is changing quite a bit. I know a lot of guys who used to dislike him, but have come around recently.
I think you would be surprised. College wrestlers tend to be pretty believable as fighters.
You are judging it from a simply weight/height perspective based on your habits. I am 6’4” and 195, by your standard I am skinny. I am not, I keep in good shape and you can not see any bone and I run 20-30k a week.
A person who doesn’t work out and weighs 30’bs over the frames suggested maximum is overweight. Your body should not carry any more weight than what is necessary to maintain your lifestyle.
BTW those aren’t USDA regs(CDC actually does it for the Gov’t, and the military has their own reg’s.). The very first h/w table was created by a life insurance company who studied over the long haul what a persons height weight should be. Universities have also done studies. THe biggest question really isn’t the height weight but the BMI to height/weight. If you are 5’11” in the army, weigh 200, and have a High BMI you are red flagged for being overweight. The military tends to offer a higher weight per height limit than most other charts because they realize the lifestyle in the military will require that.
So perhaps let’s use the Military’s table and say that a 5’11” man at the age of 28-39 shouldn’t weigh no more than 194lbs.

Speaking of pulling out, too bad DiCaprio’s father didn’t sooner.
Compared to their European counterparts they were taller though, which is why they are probably romanticized like they are.
FWIW I am of Swedish decent and I am 6’4”. I think I would have caused some fear in the English back in the Viking Era.

I don’t think it’s DiCaprio’s body as much as it is his face.
He has a round, flat face, a pasty complexion and little, deep-set eyes. To look at his face you’d think he was a short, Pillsbury doughboy.

Looks like I was misremembering and it was the majority of directors I like that signed the list. Why oh why couldn’t it be Michael Bay and McG that supported him instead of Scorsese?
He is thinking for himself, and right now hooking up with Gibson is the worst thing he could do.
Why not Mel himself? I'm sure Viking warriors occasionally smacked their women around, Gibson is a natural.
Isn't that a good enough reason? Mel Gibson is poison in Hollywood and with a lot of the viewing public right now. His last film was a dud. After 'Inception' DeCaprio is flying high and can have any role he wants, at any price he chooses to name. Signing on to a Gibson film certainly could jeopardize that.
