Lewis said the 100-pound Great Pyrenees was no match for the wolf, which injured a second guard dog in the same attack. The other dog was missing for several days but turned up Wednesday nursing injuries from the attack..

Officials say wolves are becoming a problem in northern Utah for the first time since the 1930s. Among other recent attacks was a wolf that killed two calves, and a wolf that attacked livestock in northern Utah's Cache County in July.

I’ve had no personal experience with Great Pyrenees but I’ve read they’re pretty mean dudes when it comes to protecting sheep.

The enviro nazis should be happy that those Non Native Canadian Wolves are now in our eco-system because according to them they belong here.

IDIOTS!

Can we say "environmentalists," children?

This happened in Spain first. The radical environmentalists got the government to prohibit hunting of wolves...and suddenly ripped-up sheep started turning up all over northern Spain. Followed by ripped-up elderly men and women who were attacked while crossing fields in the evening in these remote villages.

Way to go, environmentalists.

There is plenty of evidence that wolves are outcompeting Griz for natural prey (deer and elk), in Montana and Wyoming.
I’ve talked to the locals and they’re very clear about this fact.
Check the emaciated state of the sow Griz who’ve attacked humans, last year and this.
And then I try to have that discussion with the wolf lovers here in Colorado, and “oh no, that’s just not possible...”

My sister had a Great Pyrenees. They are big dogs. The one she had, “Bubba”, was easily over a hundred pounds. He could put his front paws on my shoulders and lick me in the eye. And I’m 6’3”.

Time for the Irish Wolfhound dog breed to start becoming popular.

They were bred to hunt wolves.

Leftists love predators whether they are wolves, Muzzie terrorists, or a street thug.

The Great Pyrenees I have seen that were herd guards were all around 150 lbs (not fat), or more. Usually male. I would assume a 100 pounder to be a youngster or a female.

"My sister had a Great Pyrenees."

Greatest family dogs ever. They used to herd my little brother back into the living room when he would try to "escape."

“One wolf” ? ? ?

Lone wolves are mostly a literary expression, as wolves are pack predators.

Given the job security v. truth conflict with all wolf program persons, I’d suggest considering anything said by such persons as unreliable at best, and deliberately deceptive at worst.

In my experience, AgencyPersons statements are more often “worst” than “best”.
