LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Fresh out of rehab and a 13-day stint in jail, Lindsay Lohan returned to Twitter on Thursday -- and blasted the paparazzi who have been following her every move.
"Clearly.. Paparazzi shouldn't be allowed to take pictures or video while someone's driving or at a stop light. 4every1's sake," Lohan said in her first Tweet since the eve of being locked up on July 20.
Lohan, who was released on Tuesday after just 23 days of a court-ordered 90-day rehabilitation program, has also got back behind the wheel, after the suspension of her driving license for a 2007 drunk driving and cocaine possession charge.
The 24-year-old actress got her license back on Wednesday and was soon seen driving a Maserati sports car and picking up friends after midnight in Los Angeles.
Lohan, whose promising acting career in movies like "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls" has been eclipsed since 2007 by headlines about hard partying, has been trailed by photographers since her release.
She is also reported to have been inundated with offers, including interviews and celebrity endorsements.

California is broke. They needed her out on the road so they can fine her again.

Now they want her to do interviews, guest shots and a reality show with her mom.
They’ll keep interviewing her until she isn’t cute any more. Then she’ll be just another drug-addicted skank.
That is consistent with a culture that celebrates the anti-hero.
Wow, the penalty for a first offense DUI in CA is a 4 month suspension of license but I guess that only applies to the little people, eh? If you are celeb you get in back in a month, and bingo, out on the road again.
Just look at Blago and HIS second career as TV buffoon-at-large.
Shamelessness wins. But ya hafta do something big first, before you can eat out on being famous-for-being-infamous.
She is not Elvis, but will meet the same fate. Party untill she kills herself, I hope she doesn’t take anyone with her.
Sometimes celebritydom is a liability in the same context.
Particularly when some prosecutor or judge decides to become famous by making an example of of a celebrity.
Take Wynona Ryder for instance. Her only crime was shoplifting some lingerie on Rodeo Drive, but she had her private life dragged through the mud, demolished her “America’s Sweetheart” image, and sent her into professional exile for a decade.

Oh great, I drive through W. Hollywood and Beverly Hills about twice a month down Sunset on my way to Canter’s Deli (for the best corned beef on rye west of the Hudson River).

Yeah. Eventually she’s going to kill somebody behind the wheel and suddenly the joke will be over for good.
Then we’ll have to sit through the recriminations, lawsuits and national soul-searching.
