It was a final chance to say goodbye for grieving mother Kate Ogg after doctors gave up hope of saving her premature baby.

She tearfully told her lifeless son - born at 27 weeks weighing 2lb - how much she loved him and cuddled him tightly, not wanting to let him go.

Although little Jamie's twin sister Emily had been delivered successfully, doctors had given Mrs Ogg the news all mothers dread - that after 20 minutes of battling to get her son to breathe, they had declared him dead. baby survival

Awful moment: Kate and David clasp each other and their son Jamie, circled, after being told he did not survive the birth. They were given the child to say their goodbyes but then, miraculously, two hours later he began to show signs of life

All smiles: It was after Kate gave her son some of her breast milk on her finger that he began breathing regularly

A mother’s love. Is there a stronger force in the universe?

Did God test these two - on how much do you really love that child? - enough to bring life once again...such miracles!
A mothers spirit and love that can reach to Heaven - now that is true power...

This is a beautiful story.....unfortunately a great rarity, though. I'm on the verge of losing my six week old granddaughter due to horrible 'mis-wiring' in the child's brain. Everything is fully developed, brain-wise, yet this unusual condition gives a prognosis of not surviving her infancy.

We learned yesterday that Grace's Mom and Dad are going to get her stabilized at the hospital, take her home, and let nature take it's course due to the grim prognosis.

Devastating stuff....

Duct tape. But duct tape plus a mother's love will keep your wild @$$ home on the weekend. That's my experience anyway.

Maybe not stronger.

But as strong as...

a father’s love.

Please tell your children not to give up just yet. Keep trying and keep praying. One of our grandsons was born with no brain. You can guess what the doctors told his parents. He would not survive. He would never see, hear, speak. He They took him home and loved him. He began to grow a brain. By age two he had a brain. By age 3 he could see and hear. He 12 now and has a great personality. He is wheelchair bound, but can take a few steps. He interacts with family and goes to school. God can confound the doctors. Prayers for your grandchild and his parents.
