What is the healthiest food?

Posted on 08/29/2010 7:00:05 AM PDT by big black dog

If you factor in taste, I'd have to say it's cantaloupe.

Full of vitamins, minerals, and fiber, and low in calories.

Just had a big hunk of it for breakfast.

and a simple phone call brings it to me in less than 30 minutes!

I would argue that any pizza you can get in that manner sucks big time.

Wild blueberries.

I can’t find any, so I eat cultivated blueberries.

It’s funny my 4 year old who thinks the basic food groups are chicken nuggets, french fries, and gummi bears actually likes broccoli and specifically asks for it on occasion.

never you mind

I like the taste of nutraloaf, at least the no meat kind. It’s only bad because it so bland.

I felt morally obligated to eat every cantaloupe that I raised this year. They all came ripe within days of each other so I ate 13 cantaloupe in 10 days.

Don’t ask.

Well, other than low fat cottage cheese (full fat gives you a little fat which you need!) I’m with you.

You need to find some marshy land where there had been a fire a few years earlier. The blueberries come up with the regrowth like you wouldn’t believe.

Well, no one food can do it all, and a mix is good. If if had to pick one to survive on alone — potato, although not the Micky D’s french fries varieties.
