Link to Facebook on FR page?

How long has the link to Facebook"like" been at the top of the FR article page? Or am I seeing things?

For the most part all the social type places bore me to tears. I got on Face Book primarily to stay in touch with family who live away from me. I truly shudder when I get glimpses of my kids’ pages. There is truly a generation gap in what we find interesting. ;)

I just liked it. Tastes fine to me. I alienated several of my family (all democrats) by posting political truths on my wall. They tried to tell me that I should only post about my family and no one cared about political BS. I told them that not only were they rude to say that no one cared about what I thought and to call it BS, they were dead wrong. I had other family and friends that cared deeply about what version of America our kids and grandkids would inherit. Not to mention their attempt to deny me my right to free speech. I told them to unfriend me if they were so frightened by opposing points of view. I wouldn't dream of forcing someone to conform to my set of views as they seemed to be.

OK, now I see from the Facebook page it has 812 now.

I was looking at the top of FreeRepublic Main Forum Latest Articles page and it says 305.

Interesting it has different numbers on FR than it does on Facebook.

Facebook and other internet sites are what helped Obama become the guy that lives in the White House.

In between vacations, that is.

It's an excellent tool for getting FR more exposure, and for promoting political events/ideas etc.

Conservatives need to get as involved as possible with the www in all ways, because the internet houses the New Media.

I don't think it means that FR “supports” facebook, but that FR is using it.

I did, then I posted a comment that said I was the first. Then noticed I had to check all and found out I was one of many... :>)

I went to the bottom where it says configure sidebars and then set everything that was disabled to right. I don’t like it the way it is and there may be a better way, but it does show the Like thing now.
