“Gay-Rod.”

Just curious. Why do you think that?

We’ll see. Jeter’s at what, 15 years? Maybe not at short forever but I did see him make some fantastic double plays with Tex tonight. I don’t think we will ever see those two in another uniform no matter what. I could be wrong, it has happened many times before.

“Got a crush on him, eh...Must be those tight baseball pants...”

Hee-hee...my daughters and I have lots of photos at Yankees games of him in those tight pants...what a cutie! :)
Wish FR would make it easier to post pics!

I know Jeter gave us the best years and I hate to think this is the end. Very disappointing year. He was an automatic out everytime kinda like the Jim Mason of the 70’s.

He’s the only Yankee to hit 4 doubles in one game!

He does get on base a lot, still. I’ve just seen too many times Jete being dismissed, usually at the start of the season. I would’t be surprised to find out he’s hurt. Let’s see what happens in the post season.

I love Derek I feel bad trashing him but that is how I love my Yankees. I sit and trash them all night! I’m a little jealous that the Dodgers got our Donny. He should be with us. Good luck to Joe Torre I’m sure Hawaii is waiting.

I'm afraid Mo is heading into retirement years as is Jeter.

Yep, and they f-ing ruined Joba Chamberlain, when he easily have been Mo's heir (a la Mo with Wetteland)

Joba is overrated. I don't think he was ever going to be the next Mo. Burnette has to go after this season and until recently Granderson has been a disappointment. Maybe he should go to the Nationals’ so he can be close to his beloved Obama’s.

I doubt it will happen, but Donny could get the skippership if Girardi goes to the cubs. But on a winning season? Like I said, I doubt it.

As far as Jeter goes, like I said, lets see what happens in a few weeks.

Mo will be in the Hall of Fame, guaranteed. A-Rod as great a player as he is, will never be. Go Yankees!

How about these stats? Babe Ruth Hitting Stats

Yr Team G AB R H 2B 3B HR GRSL RBI BB IBB SO SH SF HBP GIDP AVG OBP SLG

1921 Yankees 152 540 177 204 44 16 59 0 171 145 - 81 4 - 4 - .378 .512 .846

New record of 59 home runs, more than any other team in the American League. Slugging Average - .846. Lifetime slugging average - .690. Such players as H. Aaron (almost 4,000 more career At-Bats than Ruth), J. DiMaggio, W. Mays (never hit a home run in World Series), and Hank Greenberg, in their best seasons, never reached the lifetime slugging average that Ruth Maintained over 22 years. Ruth stole home 10 times in his career. And if that’s not enough, the guy shares the AL shutout record by lefthanders with Ron Guidry (single season) with nine. His ERA as a pitcher in World Series was .087, with a 3-0 record. The greatest ever. And please, no bs about him not having played against blacks. Well, he didn’t in regular season play. But according to Bill Jenkinson, he did play against many of the great black players in exhibition games and he performed at a level that was simply amazing.
