I just realized this thread includes a historically important story. This is the first time ever the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Detroit Lions. In fact, it’s the Steelers first win ever.

I think it is an equipment issue. It wasn't until the 1941 season, if memory serves, that the league switched from the concrete stuffed pigskin to the compressed air model.

The kickers had to be real men in the pre-air days.
