Has Anyone Noticed The Red Background with Yellow Star above Capital on CBS NCIS Promo? (Vanity)

OK, let me set this up so you all understand what I am asking. To start with, I TIVO everything I watch, so I seldom see commercials, but every now and I have a brain frezze and catch myself watching a stupid commercial before I realize, "Duh! I can fast forward". Well tonight I finally had a chance to watch the new season Premier of "The "Mentalist". I know it was on three weeks ago, but as I said I TIVO everything so I have forever to watch it at my leisure. Anyway, while watching my show, I failed to fast forward past one of the commercials and caught a commercial promo for the "NCIS" season premier.
Now this is the important part. Just as the commercial was ending they showed a picture of Mark Harmon in front of the Dome of United States Capital. The whole lighting of the commercial was reddish and offset to the left above the Capital Dome was a yellow star. It eerily reminded me of the Soviet Union. Also, the theme of the season premier had nothing to do with Russia or communism in any way. I had no way to capture the clip, but I did photo shop one to give you an idea of what I saw. The photo below is pretty much what was on the screen but obviously much better quality. I am after all an amateur.
The above image is an approximate simulation of the CBS NCIS promo I saw on television. Forgive me for the crude photo shop job, but I just wanted everyone to get the idea of what I was describing.

Wow!
Maybe the guys and gals who made this commercial are too young to remember the Soviet Union.
And...Being educated in our Marxist, godless, socialist-funded government schools they were not likely to be taught about it or its symbols.

That’s it, but the one I saw also had Mark Harmon in the photo also.
Interesting that no one seemed to care about it. I guess we all have come to expect this from Hollyweird.

Has anyone noticed the slant on both NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles tonight, Oct 19,2010? Both seem to target white supremacists. Why this constant focus on what is not even a relevant issue and definitely not what is happening in this world?
Can someone explain the rationale? It is all very laughable.
