It’s amazing. The 1940 World Series started today...and we don’t even know who is going to play for the chance to play in the World Series yet.

Of course the season was shorter by 8 games back then.

Exactly. Today Mrs. henkster and I are going to Minute Maid Park in Houston to watch the Cubs and Astros finish out their lame seasons. We haven’t even started our three-tier playoffs yet. But in 1940, the end of baseball is in sight.
