At halftime of the Eagles Redskins game, Fox News Chicago showed a full screen video, I think from his web site, of Rahm Emmanuel talking for at least thirty seconds. Coulda been five minutes, the way it seemed. There was very little notation, except for RAHM EMMANUEL, and MAYOR. The voice-over was about him announcing he was now Mayor of Chicago, or something along those lines. It was very moving.

Twinkle-Toes wants to be mayor of Chicago, for the same reason lawyers go to Washington to be Congress-people. It certainly is NOT for the value of the paycheck.

IMHO, he also did not want to be anywhere near Obama and the DemonRat party...such as it is. The reasons should be obvious.

a position which it was widely known he has long desired. a position which it was widely known he has long desired. a position which it was widely known he has long desired. a position which it was widely known he has long desired. a position which it was widely known he has long desired. a position which it was widely known he has long desired. a position which it was widely known he has long desired. a position which it was widely known he has long desired. a position which it was widely known he has long desired. a position which it was widely known he has long desired. a position which it was widely known he has long desired. a position which it was widely known he has long desired. a position which it was widely known he has long desired.

did I say that it was widely known that it was a position he has long desired?

Well, it is. In case you doubt that, there's no reason to. Why would you doubt it? Because it's being spoon fed to you every time you turn around?

I thought it meant he was joining Fox News.

So did I.

I about came unglued. I can barely stand Juan Williams, Whorealdo Rivers, Bob Beckel, Mara Liasson or Bill O'Reilly.

From the "Post Reply" page: ...

In the General/Chat forum, on a thread titled Fox News Emmanuel, GOPyouth wrote:

... so the requirement that the thread title be an article title seems to be an extraneous imposition, particularly in the General/Chat forum.

In fact, I just wanted to chat about the very striking halftime news spot I had just seen, but the procrustean requirements of the post engine forced a few contortions. Maybe I'm missing a button.

It was very moving.

I thought there was some big problem w/his residency in Chicago.

I heard this issue broached on the local drive time WLS-AM Roe Conn show. It was the opinion of someone that if a challenge were made in court by another candidate, it would be hard to overcome, but I haven't heard a lot more about it. I think it will only be a problem if it's a problem ...

Well, lookee here: "Birthers," Chicago style: Some Question Rahm's Residency ... on Fox News, no less.

As much as I despise Beckel as a left wing pundit, I admire him for what he does to help people.

In my mind, Rahm’s character and arrogance almost guarantee that he will ultimately go down in flames from some huge scandal. He’s just slimy.

Is that how they do it in Chicago? They just sort of say ‘’Ok, you’re the mayor now’’. No elections or opposite party? Oh, I forgot, we’re talking about Chicago here.

Well I assume then that one could draw the conclusion of your post this is a position he has long desired. :-)
