Think I don't know how hard things are? Guess again, friend.
The recession started for my family long before it started for the rest of the country. After having been successful, affluent business owners for over a decade, my wife and I now scramble every month to keep our noses above the poverty level. Some months we make it, and some months we don't.
Doesn't stop me from caring whether those trapped miners live or die. I'm really glad to see that they made it out alive.

There’s a reason TV comes first in “TV News”. This is good TV, “good TV” being the kind of TV that brings eyes to commercials which is how they make their money. Remember, anytime you actually get informed while watching TV news it was an accident, their goal is to sell commercials, everything else is incidental.
