I’m watching from Costa Rica... are you guys getting any commercials in the US?

Not many, mostly just coverage!

Look at what's being said: Americans had a big hand in making this rescue. Americans designed the machinery and ran the drill that got through to the minors. One of the people hugging that first guy was an American.

Must really be enraging to the Kenyan thug and his dog Joe.

Turn it off. TV is garbage. All brainwashing propaganda crap.

I bet you're real fun at parties.

If they were Americans, my attitude would have been different. We have our own stuff to worry about.

Exactly my reason for this post!

I think it is great....I have been watching all morning on a web site from The Guardian:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/blog/2010/oct/12/chilean-miners-rescue-live-coverage

It is quite an event. The president and his wife are there with each family to great each miner as he comes up.

It is all quite moving.

Turn the Chanel to Nancy Grace if you don’t like it.

Fox shouldn't try to be like her. I can't stand prime time Cable News, anyway. Fox isn't as bad as the others, but it pretty much stinks these days.

I'm not "enjoying" it but I find it very interesting and if Fox stops showing it, I'd have to go over to the dark side to watch....

if Fox wasn't doing this, we'd be getting repeats until 6 am....

Is this not a Geraldo moment? Shouldn’t he be there, drawing stuff in the sand to describe things?

Seriously, it probably did me some good not to see politics for a night.

Well...polisciguy.....

Good for you on wanting people to break down polls again and again that can be broken down tomorrow or whenever....but you need the info now?

It’s midnight where I am. I’ve had my fill of politics for the day.

I think it’s kind of cool to know that in Chile...they are rescuing miners.

GET A LIFE you silly juveniles ...And you would suggest FOX news put on......what? What breaking news did you miss by their coverage of this? In case you didn't notice, a few stories are repeated ad nauseum every single day. At least this was live coverage of an interesting human interest news story. What did you want? Another story about some guy throwing a book an Obammy? Or another one about the upcoming November election? Sheesh......

You are self-absorbed. At least you are aware of it.

Maybe you could work on your ability, or lack of, to empathize with others.

It is quite moving, but it isn't the only thing going on in the world!

Ridiculous. There hasn't been much coverage before today. Men trapped half a mile under the earth for 70 days are finally making their trip to freedom. It's indisputably the most interesting thing going on on the planet right now. Now the culmination of a lot of hard work by a lot of smart people is at hand. 24 hour cable news channels, that often have nothing to cover, and are reduced to talking head shows, are covering a real live news event; a happy one to boot.

And you are whining? You can't live without Hannity reruns? Seriously? For real? This isn't Some kind of satire about curmudgeonly cranks?

I was irked too. Especially when they cut the all-star-panel short to go live with that lib Shep Smith.

God, that's perverted. Wouldn't want to interrupt a political discussion on cable news, since they are so rare these days.

No. By paying for cable and Sat TV - you are paying each network $5 to 6 a month. You are keeping your enemies alive and making them rich.

The six TV networks have Saudi investors - Prince Al Waleed is the largest investor in News Corp/Fox. He is a major investors in Disney/ABC News and TW/CNN.

GE/NBC/CNBC/MSNBC does multibillion deals with him regularly with Jeff immelt. CBS/Viacom’s Sumner Redstone asked him for help with Kirch TV deal for Germany. Bloomberg got the Islamic mosque deal clinched to keep access to Islamic markets.

He is the Saudi king’s nephew and is involved in doing deals with all the networks.

So you see by watching TV and paying for it - you insure your children and grandchildren will be serfs. Probably dhimini islamic serfs. Nice isn’t it? Nut loads of idiots think TV is apple pie and mom. Like the NFL. The same NFL that loves obama and smeared Rush as a racists.

The problem is the American public is stupid. I mean really stupid. The elites, libs and islamics who control TV know that.
