As you can see from the photo this is the era when they played their night games without lights.

Really, the microfilm has been getting worse the last month or so. Beginning 11/4 I went to a different source for a while.

76,000 at Stadium – 2-3
Kaydets Pass the Time Cheering One Lost Cause after Another – 4
70,200 Watch Penn Sink Navy, 20 to 0 – 4-5
Nebraska Downs Oklahoma, 13 to 0 – 5
Boston College Tops Manhattan – 5-6
Purdue Rally Halts Iowa, 21 to 6, Petty Scoring Two Touchdowns – 6
Buckeyes Subdue Hoosiers by 21-6 – 7
Hoyas Score Early in Triumph by 28-6 – 7

Ahhhh back in the day when we were good. No longer, the Board of Trustees and Administration don’t care about Notre Dame football any longer. If they did, they’d show it by hiring a head coach who has an “A” record and reputation. Instead they hire from central casting and hope he succeeds. That my friends is how you destroy a franchise and fail. Instead, they milk the alums and try to fool them into thinking we’ll succeed.

All the while asking for more money and that if you ask me is borderline immoral.

My humble apologies. Not for the content of my post, but for its duplication

That is a neat coincidence, Paratrooper. There aren't many football games played there, are there? Yet here is a rematch of the same two out-of-town teams played 70 years and change apart.

All - above where I said the new microfilm source begins on 11/4, I should have said 11/5. I stopped with the dark stuff after Monday 11/4 and my next batch is from Monterey Public Library. I will try McHenry again in a couple weeks and see if it has improved any. (That source is both cheaper and faster than the others I use.)

I did not know that the term "Kaydets" was used as slang to refer to Cadets at West Point (page 4). This must have passed into history quietly.

My youngest son went to VMI and they are called "Keydets" still to this day.
