A copy of ELVIS PRESLEY's will, which was discovered in a trash can, is expected to fetch up to $1,500 (£1,000) when it goes under the hammer this weekend (13Nov10).

A law firm employee kept the document after finding it in an office garbage bin during a clear-out in 1987, a decade after the Jailhouse Rock hitmaker died.

The paperwork will be auctioned off alongside a lock of Presley's hair and a scarf once worn by the singer at the Henry Aldridge & Son sale in Wiltshire, England on Saturday (13Nov10).

Auctioneer Andrew Aldridge says, "The will gives a fascinating insight into the privates wishes of the king of rock 'n' roll."

According to Elvis' cousin, Billy Smith, there was another copy of Elvis' will hidden somewhere on the property of Graceland, and he was the only one who knew where it was (Elvis gave it to him to hide). After Elvis' death, Patsy Presley (Elvis' other cousin) approached Billy and asked him where it was. He told her. Later on reportedly Vernon (Elvis' Daddy) was seen burning "trash" in a 55 gallon drum. Billy never saw that will again. And in place of that will came the one that left everything to Lisa Marie and no one else. Some people figure that Vernon pretty much cheated alot of people out of their inheritance, especially Billy since Vernon hated Billy's side of the family.
