Although elephants are very unusual prey for Nile crocodiles, the 20-foot-long (6-meter-long) reptiles will occasionally ambush and take down large animalsincluding dozens of people annually, experts say.

Shame on Nat Geo - their caption says;
"See which animal comes out alive" and then has no follow up and doesn't complete the story.
There is a baby in one of the pictures that ends up on the ground with the croc. I hope that didn't turn out bad for the calf.

Oh, it's pretty much a foregone conclusion which died immediately. Simple physics and an appreciation of large beasts will tell you that elephants know f=m*v. As do longhorn and angus bulls. Down in their bones.
I hope the elephant survived the infection from the bite.
