The rate at which global temperatures are rising has slowed in the past decade, scientists said today.
In a report published today, the Met Office said the slow in the rate of warming was down to a combination of natural variation in the weather and pollution.
Scientists say one of the major factors is the rise in heavy industry and pollutant 'aerosols', particularly in Asia.
An upsurge in industrial emissions such as sulphur which are being pumped into the atmosphere reflects sunlight and could lead to a cooling effect. Changes in the amount of water vapour in the stratosphere may also be a factor, the report suggests.
The admission will be seized upon by climate sceptics as evidence that man-made global warming has been overstated.

And then tell me how it is they can blame man for Global Warming when man was hardly around at the time glaciers formed Lake Tahoe, The Great Lakes, Yosemite National Park, Glacier National Park, etc.?

If we're going to pay "them" all that money, "they" better come up with something useful once in a while.

How odd (not) that they now discover that nature can play a large part in climate changes. Who knew? Next, they'll issue a press release announcing their discovery that water is wet.
OK, let ne get this straight.
Global warming existsts.
Global warming existed but not in the past 10 years but “GLobal Warming” still exists.
When is this global warming coming back and should i be prepared for it?
If global warming does come back should i plant my tomatoes 2 weeks earlier?
my friend has a beach house, should he open it 2 weeks earlier as well?
Maybe we as a whole should invest 900 bilion dollars to make sure “Global Warming” NEVER comes back.
It’s is a thought....but then i’d have to wait another 2 weeks for my tomatoes and beach time.
