I always thought Götterdämmerung was something a German muttered under his breath each time the TV rebroadcast an Obama speech.

My German cousin Wilhelm, well my half-third cousin twice removed on my mother's side but that's a whole 'nuther story, well that old boy went and stole my catch phrase for his nightclub act in the brothel district in Munich, but it turns out that Götterdämmerung doesn't have the same ring and comedic appeal in German that "Get 'er done" has in American.
